**Team / Role Overview:**
Credit Risk team provides second line of defence oversight, review and challenge over our lending and counterparty credit activities globally. The Senior Credit Portfolio Manager is a senior management-level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department to monitor the Citi portfolio and identify credit migration in coordination with the Risk Management team. The overall objective of this role is to lead the management of Citi's portfolio exposure to client and counterparties globally.
**What you'll do:**
+ Maintain and manage a portfolio of corporate credits, incl. complex cross-product (derivatives, ECA financing), cross-market (senior bank / bond) transactions
+ Review, challenge and approve transactions, and periodic monitoring, include acquisition financing, leveraged financing, recapitalizations, and securitizations
+ Primary risk coverage for the UK and European market across multiple industries and geographies
+ Work with Banking, In-Business Credit and Product counterparts on credit approval and execution of transactions identifying key risks and structuring transactions to mitigate credit concerns
+ Co-manage troubled assets with Remedial colleagues including valuation analysis, amendment approvals and monthly credit reviews
+ Assist with special projects including stress testing, portfolio reviews, Risk Rating processes, Credit Policies and other programs reviews across product groups
+ Meet with sponsors and work with bank syndicates (as Agent) and consultants
+ Work with portfolio managers on risk mitigation
**What we'll need from you:**
+ Existing senior credit approval (SCO or equivalent)
+ Extensive years of experience in credit risk management or equivalent training and experience
+ Some corporate industry specialism preferred
+ Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
+ Demonstrated ability to view data holistically and remain detail oriented to synthesize, prioritize and deliver results with urgency
+ Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, analytical, presentation, facilitation, negotiation and strategic skills
+ Proven ability to obtain support and buy-in across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
+ Demonstrated work ethic and influencing skills
+ Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree preferred

The Financial Analysis Manager role sits within Central Finance in Openreach and reports directly to the Senior Manager, Finance - Regulatory and Statutory Reporting.
In this role, you will become an expert in financial analysis and modelling, and alongside a clear understanding of the wider business, you will provide advice and council on financial impacts and analysis for key projects and decisions.
The role involves significant levels of senior stakeholder engagement with regular direct interaction with the CFO, Managing Director of Regulation, and Group Regulatory Finance Director.
What you'll be doing
- Financial analysis of a wide range of financial and operational data sets to provide data inputs and insights.
- Business partner to Openreach Regulatory Affairs, Pricing and Group Competition Finance.
- Financial lead on the pricing compliance; cost modelling; risk monitoring; and reporting.
- Support the Group Competition Finance team in implementing the methodology changes in the regulatory financial statements.
- Support the Commercial Pricing Team and the wider Openreach Finance Team in assessing the impacts of pricing decisions by providing accurate modelling of returns across various markets, products and services.
- Support the Regulatory Affairs Team in strategic business cases and/or impact analysis of claims/disputes.
- Produce business cases for regulatory decisions, potential regulation impacts, or points of potential or active debate and influence with the regulator.
The skills you'll need
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
- Experience in building and operating complex financial models to analyse large financial and operational data sets.
- Excellent communicator of complex messages, in to clear financial and operation narratives.
- Experience of positively influencing business decisions by using data, narrative, and analysis to inform decision making.
- Experience of working in a regulatory environment, or a central finance role at manager level or above is desired (but not essential if willing to learn fast!).

Requirements
- Typically 7 years accounting experience including experience in investment banking, valuation, private equity, or corporate / business development.
- Experience in entertainment and/or media desirable but not essential.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant/Qualified ACA / CIMA (UK)/ MBA (USA)
- Private equity experience for 3yrs desirable but not essential.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills

**How will you make an impact in this role?**
UK Credit Risk Team's objective is to define and develop credit risk strategies to drive growth and provide good customer outcomes at acquisition and through the customer lifecycle.
The person will be responsible for conducting detailed analysis and implementing new credit risk strategies for UK consumer and small business card acquisition. This person will focus on tracking and explaining acquisitions metrics, developing & evaluating new data sources, and working on projects together with our business partners.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Generate analytical insights and spot hidden trends from data to quickly react to emerging credit trends
+ Collaborate closely with marketing & product teams to help business achieve growth objectives
+ Evaluate new data sources and stay abreast of industry trends to build upon existing frameworks to deliver profitable risk strategies as well as better customer outcomes
+ Develop strong relationships with colleagues from the Central Risk organization, as well as Operations, Product, Acquisitions and Compliance teams to drive enterprise-wide projects for the UK market
+ Drive operational excellence and ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ At least 4 years' experience in risk management or data analytical roles
+ Bachelor's or equivalent in quantitative field (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science and Economics)
+ Coding skills in SQL or Python with hands-on experience is required
+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply both quantitative methods and business knowledge to build insights and deliver results
+ Knowledge of underwriting and consumer/commercial bureau data
+ Good communication and persuasion skills with an ability to translate technical analysis into business strategy recommendations; conceptualize and sell ideas to internal and external partners
+ Ability to build strong relationships with business partners across the enterprise
+ Proven track record to work independently and within a matrix organization; partnering with capabilities, decision sciences, technology teams and external vendors to deliver solutions quickly and effectively
+ Results driven with strong project management skills and ability to work on multiple priorities

This role is within the UK Credit Risk Organization lead by the UK Chief Credit Risk Officer tasked with the objective of driving responsible growth with best-in-class credit risk strategies across the customer lifecycle. The position provides a great opportunity to make a difference by developing and implementing customer management controls across Consumer, Small Business and Corporate Cards portfolios. The individual would be responsible for driving customer management strategies, including identifying opportunities or new data solutions to enhance existing frameworks, implementing strategy changes, monitoring internal and industry trends, and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. The individual is also required to have experience processing large unstructured datasets and strong problem-solving abilities.
The responsibilities include:
+ Evaluating new data sources to build upon existing credit risk frameworks, and delivering responsible growth strategies, as well as improved customer outcomes
+ Innovating and optimizing customer management strategies to minimize credit losses while improving performance efficiencies and customer experience.
+ Collaborating closely with business partners to drive enterprise-wide projects for the UK market
+ Presenting recommendations to risk committees and lead strategy implementation independently
+ Driving operational excellence and ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements
**Minimum Qualifications:**
+ 4 years of credit risk experiences in financial institutions.
+ Experience working on credit risk strategies for Credit and Charge Cards
+ Experience with data-driven analytical tools (e.g. SQL, SAS, HIVE/HADOOP, R, Python, Tableau) to process unstructured dataset in order to extract insights, identify trends, and inform business decisions
+ Comprehensive understanding of UK CONC and Consumer Duty requirements on creditworthiness and affordability
+ Be curious and have a problem-solving mindset, ability to drive process change independently
+ Strong analytical skills and sound business acumen, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across functions
+ Good communication and persuasion skills with an ability to translate technical analysis into business strategy recommendations in simpler terms
