We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in deploying and maintaining research-supporting applications and services on private cloud infrastructure. You’ll be instrumental in designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines that ensure scalable, secure, and reproducible deployments using Virtual Machines and Kubernetes.
Working closely with end-users, you'll gather requirements to ensure deployments align with research needs while optimising resource usage and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments.
- Implement IaC solutions using tools like Terraform for cloud-native and virtualised environments.

This newly created role will complement an existing team of Engineers to help service offerings and elevate their DevOps capability.
This role plays a key part in the delivery of high-quality products within the software development team. Essential Skills
- Experience working as DevOps Engineer (3-5+ years min) li>Experience working in a Proxmox virtualization environment
- Strong experience with CI/CD practices and tools
- Experience Docker and Docker Swarm
- Experience working with tools such as Ansible GitHub Actions, Jenkins
- Infrastructure as Code methodologies using Terraform/ OpenTofu, CloudFormation, or similar li>Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian)
- Bash /Powershell scripting
Responsibilities (at glance):
- Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation li>Managing a Proxmox environment with linux based Docker hosts
