We are excited to announce an opportunity to join a leading EFW company based in Surrey as a Project Engineer. Our client is seeking someone who has at least two years project engineering experience, with exposure to process engineering projects such as Renewables, Energy, Petrochemical, Water, Oil & Gas (large industrial scale).
The role will assist in the development of technical requirements for project through the development, design and construction phase. You'll be involved in the project from the planning phase, through construction and commissioning, right the way through to handover of the project to the operations team.
Other Responsibilities may include:
- Coordinating multiple construction-related activities simultaneously such as planning designs, evaluating technical specifications & preparing cost estimates among others
- Ensuring optimal utilisation levels including labour resources/materials/equipment according to budgets/ schedules etc
- Maintaining accurate documentation regarding design plans/specifications/cost projections/orders placed by vendors/subcontractors/field personnel
Engineering background:
- Engineering Qualification & background - Civil/ Mech or Elec/ Process would be ideal
- Minimum 3-5 Years' Experience in Project or Process Engineering roles - design/P&ID/ layout/ spec writing/ supplier handling
- Exposure to Process Engineering Industries such as process plant design energy/ petrochemical/ oil & gas/
Project Skills:
- The ability to manage complex tasks on tight time lines while ensuring all stakeholders remain informed throughout the entire life cycle of each project.
- Excellent Communication Capabilities
- Report writing - will write concise reports/ documents on subjects outside their area of expertise
- You should have excellent problem-solving abilities along with analytic thinking capabilities
This position offers competitive salary of up to 55,000, an excellent benefits package & opportunities for growth within the organisation.

Responsibilities
• Site surveys
• Procurement of labour, equipment and fabrication
• Liaising with clients, consultants, suppliers and site managers/supervisors
• In partnership with your Project Manager, be involved in the cost control of contracts/projects
• Keep records of installation progress and monitor against program of rewards
• Keep up to date site records, including diary of all site operatives working on your projects
• Maintain compliance on site with issued and approved method statements and risk assessments
• Assist with testing and commissioning
• Location is covering inside and around the M25
Essential Skills
• CSCS card
• Background in commercial sprinkler contracts, wet riser systems and dry riser systems
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and similar project management software

I’m currently recruiting for a Project Engineer on behalf of one of the leading main contractor. This is a site-based role, working on a cut and carve project.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for any technical issues, reporting directly to the Project Manager. My client is looking for experienced with cut and carve schemes and someone who has been involved in demolition, piling, temporary works installation, bulk excavation, basement construction and core build.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering expertise during construction phases, including interpreting drawings and resolving technical issues.
- Ensure construction work meets design specifications, codes, and standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, changes, and progress reports.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
- Oversee and integrate design inputs from architects, engineers, and consultants.
- Ensure designs meet client requirements, regulatory standards, and project goals.
- Manage design changes and assess their impact on cost, schedule, and quality.
- Propose design alternatives that optimize cost and performance.
- Ensure designs comply with planning permissions, building regulations, and other statutory requirements.
- Act as the main point of contact for design-related discussions with clients and stakeholders.
- Lead design teams, manage workloads, and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Experience within cut and carve is essential
- 3-5+ years’ experience in a similar position ideally
- Health and Safety qualification, SMSTS, CSCS Managers black card essential.
