The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Analyst to join our Finance team and play a vital role in supporting the College’s mission to improve child health.

As Finance Analyst, you will provide robust financial planning, analysis and reporting to ensure the sustainability and transparency of the College’s finances. Working closely with budget holders and the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will support on producing accurate, timely reports, developing forecasts, and supporting decision-making across the organisation.

You will also play a critical role in contributing to strengthening internal financial controls, supporting compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and delivering insightful analysis to senior leaders, the Board of Trustees, and other stakeholders. This is an exciting opportunity to influence financial strategy in a high-impact organisation that champions better health outcomes for children.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes, working with budget holders and producing financial templates and reports
  • Producing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, balance sheets, and capital project reports
  • Providing financial modelling, analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, working with the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.
  • Undertaking business partnering with budget holders, providing training and guidance as needed
  • Supporting compliance with Charity Commission and Companies House requirements, and preparing working papers for audit
  • Preparing payroll allocation adjustments and supporting cash flow management and reporting
  • Supporting the administration of finance systems and ongoing improvements to processes and controls

Essential skills and experience:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; or studying towards ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, ideally in a not-for-profit or public sector organisation
  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial management systems
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools such as Power BI
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of charity accounting and SORP requirements
  • Experience of using Business Central or equivalent ERP systems
  • Familiarity with healthcare or public health organisations

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will provide accounting expertise and support to the management of the Hospitality and Real Estate businesses. **Controller**
+ Direct the accounting activities that are part of the monthly and annual accounting close for the businesses serviced. Responsible for the accuracy, legitimacy and timeliness of accounting transactions, source documents and records. Including monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
+ Responsible for all statements and reports of the businesses being serviced and those related sections of the corporate monthly reporting book. Responsible for the evaluation and analysis of income statement, cash flow and balance sheet activity for the businesses serviced.
+ Initiate and participate in the implementation of information systems within the businesses serviced. Concentrating on the improvement of the quality, brevity and timeliness of the information.
**Capital & Project Coordination**
+ Serve as the Accounting Project Lead for major capital projects within the businesses. This may entail assisting with project setup, regular discussions regarding status versus budget, focus on capital spending and depreciation forecasts/plan, the timely setup of completed assets, the resolution of any financial related issues, and directing support staff to assist with the process.

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the Group Management Reporting team. This role will primarily be involved in the month-end close process and helping to support the financial control responsibilities of the Group.

We are looking for a candidate with an analytical mindset, someone who actively seeks to understand processes in depth, is able to ask thoughtful questions, and looks to identify opportunities for improvement as they arise. Understanding the ‘why’ not just the ‘how’ is key to success in this role. 

This role would suit someone who has started their career in finance and is already working towards their ACA qualification with the expectation for you to complete the remainder of your qualification in a timely manner. Out of office study support will be provided as part of the role. 

A strong candidate will have previous Big Four or Financial Services experience.

Requirements

  • A part-qualified accountant working towards their ACA qualification. 
  • A can-do attitude, belief in our vision, and a willingness to roll-up your sleeves and get stuck into anything and everything.
  • Committed to completing the ACA accounting qualification 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary.
  • Previous Big Four or Financial Services experience preferable.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join Norgine.  

The person holding this position will report to the Finance Business Partner and be a member of the Finance team.

The core responsibility of the of Finance Analyst is to be a core part of the finance support for General Managers for local regions and functional leaders. The purpose is to create and interpret insightful reports from business information and core systems to guide business and investment decisions and evaluate financial performance with supporting recommendations to improve profitability and streamline processes to enhance decision making cross functional business Finance support.

This will be a permanent role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

· Key month-end report build and delivery for both sales and opex P&L reports.

· Insightful commentary delivery to inform & communicate to budget holders and wider cross functional teams, working to tight deadlines

· ROC standardise Investment schedule updates

· Responsible for daily sales reconciliation and reporting by Regional Operating Company (ROC)

· Monthly and ad-hoc & expense reporting

· Price Volume Analysis reports – summarising key trends and variances to budget require management action

· Gross to Net Margin Reports including analysis to understand drivers behind variances to budget and prior year

· FTE analysis and report queries – helping to summarise variances to budget and investigate reasons

· S&D Trackers & KPI’s

· Support with inventory analysis, identifying potential issues with aged inventory which requires management attention.

· Supporting with provisions management

· Cost Centre set up and report integrations

· Supporting the Operational Accounting team with audit query support as needed.

· PLANFUL report set-up and data collection for rolling forecast/ budget / 5 yr plan reviews

· Adhoc analysis and query resolution as and when required

Requirements

· Part qualified accountant/ qualified by experience; Finance background; experience in a fast passed multinational environment
· Experienced in providing monthly and ad hoc management information to Senior Executives
· Analytically strong with highly developed knowledge and ability to use IT systems (E1, PLANFUL, ReportsNow, BI, Excel etc.) to improve processes and convert data into meaningful business information
· Experience in producing monthend reports, budget and forecast data collection and reporting
· Conversant and knowledgeable of accounting and compliance rules
· Apply a continuous improvement mindset – identifying areas of improvement and simplification and taking a leading role in delivering these.

The Commercial Finance Analyst (CFA) role provides key management information to the operational functions in the business as well as being a key link between the finance department and the business.

The CFA reports to the Commercial Finance Manager in the Marketforce team and provides support for 3rd Party Publishers carriage revenue and cost of sales. The role works hand in hand with the business to prepare recharges for monthly publisher’s statements. The role also provides key support to the month end reporting for Marketforce.

What you'll be doing.

  • Preparing monthly carriage recharge sheets for Third Party Publishers, a key part of the
  • Publisher’s Statement pack’s.
  • Liaising with the business to ensure all cost of sale recharges are included and completed in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the Marketforce month end process, prepare variance analysis and commentary for carriage revenue and costs.
  • The reconciliation and posting of revenue and costs as part of the month end processes, which will involve liaising with relevant finance teams including billing and AP.
  • Preparing coding for Marketforce cost invoices, and liaising with the AP team to ensure these are uploaded into the system correctly to meet deadlines.
  • Delivering appropriate reporting and analysis to the business as required.
  • Supporting the preparation of statement packs, and assisting with the distribution to publishers.
  • Responding to publisher’s queries in a timely manner.
  • Supporting the Commercial Finance Managers during the annual budget and reforecast process for the business owner.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve.

  • An understanding of the media business, in particular digital is advantageous
  • Accounting & Finance graduate or similar degree
  • Have started or are keen to start studying for an accounting qualification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to quickly absorb and apply new information
  • Proactive approach to work
  • An enquiring mind with strong analysis and numerical ability
  • Effective prioritisation of workloads and initiatives to deliver results in a timely and relevant manner
  • Strong G Suite and MS Office skills including Excel (including pivot tables, macro and vlookups), Word and Power-point skills
  • Able to be both a team player and able to work unaided using own initiative
  • Able to present ideas clearly, simply and confidently
  • Able to work in an environment that changes at pace
  • Able to problem solve and use initiative to improve
