Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support residents in following their individual care plans, ensuring that their specific needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on resident well-being.
  • Drive residents to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to senior staff.
  • Engage residents in social activities and encourage participation to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the care home environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being capable of working independently when required.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
  • Understanding of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately.
  • A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • DBS is required or one in process
