Sports Lecturers (South Wales)
Pay: 28.00 - 40.00 per hour (depending on experience and role type)
Empowering Learning Cardiff is working with FE Colleges across South Wales to recruit enthusiastic and knowledgeable Sports Lecturers. We have multiple opportunities available across different campuses for both immediate and upcoming starts.
Role responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging teaching and learning to learners aged 16+ across a range of Sports programmes (Level 1-5)
- Preparing schemes of work, lessons, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements
- Supporting learners of varying abilities to achieve their academic and vocational goals
- Embedding employability, health, and wellbeing into lessons where appropriate
- Collaborating with curriculum leaders to raise standards and learner outcomes
Requirements for Registration:
- A relevant degree in Sports, Physical Education, or a related field (minimum Level 4)
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, QTLS or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Sports in an FE or secondary setting (desirable)
- Industry/professional background within Sports, Coaching, or Exercise Science (advantageous)
- Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- Right to work in the UK
- Two professional references covering the last 2 years
