Are you currently working as a Management Accountant/Finance Assistant within either a Manufacturing company or within Practice? Are you looking to join a supportive employer who will help you become fully Qualified! Well, this is the role for you. ?

The Role:

  • Reporting directly to Financial Controller.
  • Take ownership for completing the month-end close.
  • Put together monthly management accounts and reports.
  • Review and check financial results to make sure they make sense.
  • Look after the nominal ledger, cash book, and fixed asset registers.
  • Do monthly stock reconciliations.
  • Keep track of key accruals and prepayments from different departments.
  • Reconcile control accounts, including inter-company and suspense accounts.
  • Complete Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual returns for the Office of National Statistics.
  • Help with the year-end audit file and prepare the first draft of statutory accounts.
  • Manage purchase order processing and service codes.
  • Prepare and submit both UK and Irish VAT returns.

The Candidate:

  • AAT level 4 qualified (or studying towards ACA/ACCA or CIMA) quals.
  • Ideally have prior experience working within a manufacturing company. Will look at people currently working in Accountancy practices, but wanting to move into Manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of SQL reporting - experience with Microsoft Power Query a big advantage!
