Are you currently working as a Management Accountant/Finance Assistant within either a Manufacturing company or within Practice? Are you looking to join a supportive employer who will help you become fully Qualified! Well, this is the role for you. ?
The Role:
- Reporting directly to Financial Controller.
- Take ownership for completing the month-end close.
- Put together monthly management accounts and reports.
- Review and check financial results to make sure they make sense.
- Look after the nominal ledger, cash book, and fixed asset registers.
- Do monthly stock reconciliations.
- Keep track of key accruals and prepayments from different departments.
- Reconcile control accounts, including inter-company and suspense accounts.
- Complete Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual returns for the Office of National Statistics.
- Help with the year-end audit file and prepare the first draft of statutory accounts.
- Manage purchase order processing and service codes.
- Prepare and submit both UK and Irish VAT returns.
The Candidate:
- AAT level 4 qualified (or studying towards ACA/ACCA or CIMA) quals.
- Ideally have prior experience working within a manufacturing company. Will look at people currently working in Accountancy practices, but wanting to move into Manufacturing.
- Good knowledge and experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of SQL reporting - experience with Microsoft Power Query a big advantage!

You will have experience and understanding of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software packages.
