You will have previous financial reporting / management accounting experience of delivering quality to deadline and want to continue to progress your accounting skills and knowledge. You will be a studier (AAT level 4 / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience with advanced experience of Excel (xlookups, sumif formulas, etc). You'll enjoy working with stakeholders and consider yourself an effective verbal and written communicator who can work independently to improve their financial outlook. You'll be committed to continuous improvement and have many examples of where you have demonstrated your ability to innovate through being analytical and showing attention to detail.

CAA Base is the agency for professional footballers dedicated to the ongoing development and management of their careers. We are seeking a proficient and personable Management Accountant to be responsible for providing financial services to ensure an efficient, accurate and timely, Financial & Management Accounting function for CAA Base. You will report directly into the Financial Controller and play a crucial role in supporting the finance activities for the continually growing CAA Base. Responsibilities To Include
- Prepare and maintain all financial schedules, ledgers, and balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Preparation of all bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management reporting packages for submission to Finance Director, UK & International, adhering to month end deadlines.
- Preparation of month end journals, month end audit files and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Month end close and timely preparation of financial and management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow).
- Assist in the preparation of month end flux analysis.
- Preparation of revenue invoices and supporting the financial controller in the correct recognition of revenue.
- Review of customer ageing and chasing of overdue collections.
- Ensuring timeliness, accuracy and completeness of transaction processing into the financial system- Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reporting to Group Finance (LA).
- Performing a first review of employee expenses on Concur by ensuring the correct documentation is provided and the cost is within Company policy.
- Perform calculations, analyses and reports as requested by the Financial Controller or Finance Director (UK & International).
- Assist with year-end group audit, and play a key part in local UK statutory audits for all CAA Base companies by preparing documentation and supporting schedules.
- Prepare and file VAT returns.
- Assist the Financial Controller or Finance Director (UK & International) in ad-hoc projects.
- Set up and maintain practical internal controls to keep processes compliant, reduce risks, and make day-to-day finance operations run more smoothly.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with an emphasis in accounting, or a related field will be useful.
- At least newly qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Must have a high level of attention to detail and great organisational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to demonstrate strong stakeholder management skill.
- Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude.
- Strong knowledge of Excel e.g. V look ups and Pivots.
- Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 desirable.
- An interest in sports or entertainment would be beneficial.
