- Prepayments
- Journals
- Fixed Assets including depreciation
- VAT C79 forms (including deferment account)
- Bank - posting & reconciliation
- Credit Control including dealing with queries
- Whole purchase ledger process from receiving invoices to payment and filing
- Month End reporting
- Management reporting
- Transactional reporting
- Government/authority reporting
What you'll need to succeed
- Ideally be a qualified or part qualified accountant (preferred). However, an AAT qualification and proven experience in a similar role will be considered
- Experience of using Sage 50 and/or Microsoft Dynamics (desirable)
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Flexibility and team player
- Interested in getting involved in all the different areas that a finance team is responsible for
- Able to remain calm under pressure and solve problems

The Role:
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be the key lead on budget setting and monitoring, playing a crucial role in providing meaningful, commercially driven information to key stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending corrective actions. li>Prepare and analyse accurate weekly and monthly Management Accounts, ensuring timely delivery.
- Oversee month-end and year-end journal adjustments, including accruals and prepayments.
- Ensure the accuracy of P&L, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and cash flow reporting, including comprehensive cash flow forecasting.
- Investigate and report on significant variances from budget across departments and activity programmes.
- Maintain the integrity of financial data supplied to the board and external compliance organisations, supporting audit requirements.
- Support senior management and budget holders in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, effectively communicating complex financial data to non-finance colleagues.
- Contribute to the continuous streamlining of finance processes and provide ad-hoc reports as required.

- A part-qualified or qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with demonstrable experience in a Management Accountant role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and improvement-focused mindset, always seeking opportunities to enhance processes and efficiency.
