Are you a Management Accountant looking to develop your business partnering skills? Morgan McKinley are recruiting for a multi academy trust for a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis to offer financial advice to senior leaders & budget holders.
The role will involve regular interaction with operational teams and heads of departments, whilst having oversight of financial systems, supporting internal audits, leading on procurement & contracts and contributing to statutory reporting, VAT returns & long term planning.
What will you be doing?
- Prepare & present accurate monthly management accounts, budgets & forecasts
- Provide financial advice & analysis to support strategic decision making
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory & internal policies
- Lead procurement processes & contract management
- Support internal audit & risk management activities
- Manage VAT returns & support year-end statutory reporting
What we are looking for?
- AAT Qualified and/or working towards ACCA/CIMA
- Experience of preparing management accounts
- Confident communicating finance to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong Excel skills & experience across financial systems

Bookkeeper Job Requirements
- AAT or MAAT qualified is acceptable. Part ACCA or ACA qualified is also fine
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Bookkeeper or Management Accountant, within a multi employee, professional firm
- Experience within the Architecture, Manufacturing, or Construction sectors is beneficial
- Candidates from Accountancy Practice may also be considered
- Able to commute daily to Poole
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
- Experience in Xero and Sage Line 50 is preferred
- Strong Microsoft office skills
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once
Bookkeeper Salary & Benefits
- Salary range dependant on experience, likely ranging from 30,000 - 40,000
- 28 days holiday inc. bank holidays (with loyalty program increasing this by 5 days)

The Role

Principal Accountabilities
- Collaborate closely with project managers, procurement, catalogue teams, and suppliers to ensure data integrity within HPC's suite of digital tools.
- Own and manage the Shipment Readiness Process , ensuring seamless transitions from planning to delivery.
- Coordinate with cataloguing teams to maintain consistent and up-to-date shipment cataloguing schedules.
- Govern data flows and process adherence across systems (e.g., Enterprise Asset Management platforms).
- Provide high-quality reporting on material requisitions, deviations, inventory performance, and shipment readiness.
- Manage the classification and secure handling of Sensitive Nuclear Information (SNI).
- Lead a team of Material Management Requestors, guiding and mentoring them to success.
