**Role Summary**
You will be responsible for managing and driving a significant group of Product Categories for the business. This will involve:
-Being the voice of one of the major product categories and product portfolios for Mira Showers
-Manage the Portfolio to target opportunities for share gain, category growth and margin enhancement.
-Own a clear New Product Strategy that maximizes growth and alignment to the strategic plan.
-As a senior member of the Marketing Team, contribute to the engagement and development of the wider Marketing Team as well as strategic initiatives outside of specific category ownership.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Portfolio Management:**
-P&L ownership of category with a relentless focus on 2 x Market growth while delivering commercial aspirations of the business.
-Detailed understanding of the key category Competitors, Customers, and market drivers.
-Proactively gather and interpret insight to understand market changes and provide recommendations to the business to mitigate vulnerabilities and capitalize on opportunities.
-You will be Cross-functional category expert to deliver Product expertise to support the Commercial and Operational sides of the business.
**Category Strategy:**
-Identify a clear vision for the Category with a detailed 5-year roadmap from Today to the Future Category position.
-Work with the Category Trio to deliver an innovative new product pipeline aligned to the Mira Strategic Plan. Maintain a healthy cadence of insight led project scopes that maximize commercial impact with appropriate Capital and Development resource.
-Deliver Projects against agreed timelines and meet Commercial objectives.
-Manage new product introductions and product withdrawals effectively to ensure maximum positive impact to the business.
**Wider Team Initiatives:**
-Support the engagement and wellbeing of the Marketing Team through positive group contributions and mentoring/training of fellow associates.
-Contribute to key Business processes such monthly business cycle reviews, Market analysis, Financial forecasting, Strategic Planning etc, with category commentary, data and insight.
-Engage with wider Marketing team and other business functions, e.g., Engineering, Purchasing, Operations, Service etc to detail your category vision.
**Skills/Requirements**
-5+ years in a Marketing role delivering against financial targets, preferably direct P&L responsibility or direct responsibility for Category commercial targets.
-Marketing qualification preferred.
-Must have knowledge of all elements of the marketing mix, not only delivering new product, but implementing channel (place) campaigns, pricing strategy and comms (promotion).
-Strong Commercial awareness: able to identify commercial opportunities and vulnerabilities along with being able to build clear and coherent business cases that can support recommendations to the business.
-Strategic and Analytical: Able to interpret the Strategy into their own Portfolio and work stream. Able to extract meaningful insight from data from a broad range of sources so it can be translated into recommendations for action.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally.
-Able to deliver high pressure projects with a diverse cross functional team.
-In depth knowledge of product development and product sourcing process, and evidence of contributing to improving those processes.
