Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to assist the team in their day-to-day duties and coordination of campaigns and initiatives.

As a Client Executive specialising in Programmatic Media, you will be the point of contact for our clients, ensuring the successful execution and optimisation of programmatic campaigns. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver exceptional service, drive campaign performance, and exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assists the team in their day-to-day duties and coordination of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Use tools to pull data and insights as requested by the team.
  • Provide supporting work for planning processes.
  • Collect data for competitor reports, media industry trends, live research.
  • Coordinates activity ensuring projects and plans deliver against objectives and on time/budget.
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication capabilities by seeking and providing clarity, managing internal and client expectations and priorities, delivering a consistent strategic message, stakeholder collaboration and working cross-culturally on a regular basis;
  • Be part of a team that ensures efficient and accurate execution of Global client activities, ensuring maximum value and ROI for our clients.
  • Works collaboratively across dentsu and across network as needed - uses good knowledge of products and services to drive business value for clients and dentsu.

Qualifications + Skills

  • Experience within Programmatic and planning.
  • Ability to showcase your approach, methodologies and reasoning for campaign setup and optimisations.
  • Experienced in managing or planning both awareness and performance campaigns via DSPs such as DV360, TradeDesk, Teads, Amazon etc.
  • Analytical and a problem solver with a high degree of numeracy and literacy.
  • You can look at data, analyse, simplify, and present back clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines as well as strong stakeholder management.

The Role

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:30

This is a key role in the Performance Marketing team, supporting efforts to grow our programmatic operations and scale our candidate acquisition across multiple markets but notably the US, UK and EMEA. What you'll be doing…

The Programmatic team is part of the commercial operations division and supports Future’s ad stack comprising of ad servers and header bidding programmatic set up. The main focus is to monetise via programmatic and open auction revenue channels across Future’s portfolio of digital brands. You will be responsible for:

Content Marketing

• Developing and maintaining a content calendar aligned with campaign priorities and business goals.
• Producing thought leadership articles, blogs, and educational content optimised for SEO to increase visibility and engagement.
• Creating impactful case studies and whitepapers to support lead generation and demonstrate Mercia’s value to clients.
• Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop authoritative, industry-relevant content.
• Ensuring brand tone of voice and messaging is consistent across all written content.

Email Marketing

• Planning, creating, and executing integrated email campaigns across various customer segments.
• Developing and managing lifecycle workflows to support client onboarding, retention, cross-sell, and upsell initiatives.
• Leveraging data-driven insights to segment audiences and deliver personalised email communications.
• Monitoring and reporting on key performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions), making recommendations to improve future campaigns.
• Conducting A/B testing on subject lines, content, and design to maximise campaign effectiveness.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Working closely with the wider Marketing team to align content and email activity with overall marketing plans.
• Collaborating with sales and other departments to ensure marketing activity supports lead generation and customer engagement objectives.
• Supporting internal communications initiatives as required to engage employees and align them with Mercia’s brand strategy.

You’ll be working across multiple campaigns and content streams, often with tight deadlines and shifting priorities. You’ll need to have strong attention to detail, the ability to work to deadlines, and the flexibility to adapt to content and campaigns quickly in a fast-paced environment. 

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Previous experience in a marketing role (B2B, B2C, or marketing agency background welcome).
• A strong interest in content creation and email marketing.
• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to produce engaging, audience-focused copy.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A proactive and creative approach, with the confidence to bring new ideas to the team.

To be successful in this role, it would be great if you have:

• Knowledge of SEO principles and experience creating optimised content.
• Experience using email marketing platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar).
• Familiarity with analysing campaign performance data and applying insights to improve results.
