Job Description
With Intelligence is looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic reporter to join our team of journalists covering the activities of a broad range of institutional investors in the US.
The role is ideal for a journalist looking to build their financial reporting experience working for an established global media brand and wanting to cultivate fruitful relationships with some of the most influential investors in the US.
We need reporters hungry for news, who will come in and hit the phones to uncover exclusive information for our subscribers and build strong relationships with industry execs. Reporters should be comfortable pitching interviews with senior investment staff at large allocators and working hard to uncover leads.
In addition to growing a source network and pitching interviews, the chosen candidate will also be responsible for reporting a beat list of investors. You must be proactive about staying on top of regular investment committee meetings, digging through dense financial documents and reports for actionable news updates, and piecing together interesting news stories from a variety of sources including board documents, financial reports and meeting transcripts.
You’ll be working as part of a fast-paced news team, with daily story deadlines to ensure we are providing our subscribers with the actionable intelligence they need from us, ahead of the game.
You’ll be working with editorial and research colleagues across our global footprint to track the investment decisions of the world’s largest and most sophisticated investors, including US public pensions, endowments, foundations, sovereign wealth funds and corporate pensions.
The target audience for our coverage is primarily asset raisers at asset management companies and industry service providers, as well as investment consultants, institutional investors and wealth intermediaries.
The Responsibilities
- Break daily news on institutional investors
- Build relationships among the investor community by working the phones, pitching interviews, and attending industry events
- Stay on top of wider industry trends impacting hedge funds, private markets and traditional asset managers.
- Travel occasionally to cover industry conferences and build contacts
Requirements
- Financial reporting experience and/or journalism training and a desire to build a career in financial/business journalism
- Ability to break exclusive news and write compelling and insightful analysis

With Intelligence is seeking a talented journalist to help spearhead the expansion of our market-leading asset management coverage into Infrastructure.
The role will involve covering some of the biggest global infrastructure asset managers at a hugely exciting time for the sector, with public policies across multiple regions driving growth and innovation and higher interest rates impacting demand and performance across a range of strategies.
You will be charged with uncovering exclusive intelligence on new launches, fund innovations and growth strategies at a wide range of asset management companies. You’ll need to be on top of who is winning assets and why, as well as who is faltering, shutting down or switching tactics.
You’ll track the ups and downs of fund performance and how managers are evolving their fund terms and structures to attract a wider array of investors that are looking to grow or shake-up their infrastructure allocations.

With Intelligence is seeking an ambitious senior reporter to join our international editorial team, with responsibility for covering institutional investors across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (DACH).
This is an opportunity for an experienced journalist to deepen their footprint in financial reporting at a global intelligence brand with unrivalled access to some of the world’s most influential investors.
We are looking for reporters who are hungry for scoops, proactive in building sources, and able to deliver exclusive, actionable intelligence for our subscriber base. Responsibilities
- File at least four proprietary news articles per week, including off-diary exclusives.

- Conduct regular interviews with CIOs, heads of investment, heads of manager research, and other senior industry figures.

Bloomberg News is looking for a reporter in London to break news on investment-grade loans, infrastructure financings and Schuldschein transactions u2014 and to write authoritatively on how these markets are evolving across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Youu2019ll cover the intersection of corporate borrowing and infrastructure investment, delivering scoops on how companies, governments and project sponsors raise capital for energy transition projects, transport networks, digital infrastructure, and defense build-outs. The remit also extends to M&A bridge loans, refinancings and private Schuldschein placements.
As well as fast, deal-specific breaking news, youu2019ll be expected to produce analytical pieces on broader themes, harnessing Bloomberg data and collaborating with colleagues across EMEA and globally. Bloomberg already has seasoned teams covering credit and private credit u2014 crucial sources of funding for infrastructure u2014 and this role will play a key part in expanding our reporting on the projects, deals and policies themselves.
**We'll trust you to:**
Monitor traditional investment-grade loans, infrastructure project loans and Schuldschein placements, breaking news and adding context and analysis
Track trends in infrastructure, energy transition and defense financing, developing ideas into both short and long-form stories
Deliver scoops on loan mandates, pricing, regulatory changes and evolving investor appetite
Provide a steady stream of exclusive news and insightful content to expert and non-expert readers
Collaborate closely with colleagues in credit, private credit, energy, ESG and policy teams across EMEA and worldwide
Recognize and develop big-picture theme stories on infrastructure, financing and regulation
Write clearly and quickly across multiple formats, from real-time headlines to in-depth explainers
**Youu2019ll need to have:**
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Experience with real-time news
Ability to write quickly and clearly under deadline pressure
A proven ability to multi task and prioritize
