My client is seeking to build their sales team by adding an additional Sales Executive to their team. The ideal candidate will already have knowledge and experience of the sales process in a technical sales environment.
The role is to support and work closely with the Sales Director to develop new opportunities, products or marketing campaigns. You will be visiting clients, building, and developing existing relationships to grow the business organically and by winning new contracts.
The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator and have an influential style of quickly building friendly and credible relationships. The successful person will be able to see business development opportunities and exploit them to sell and develop new marketing and sales income streams.
You will receive full product training and be expected to quickly integrate into the sales team and help build on the positive growth of the company already seen in 2025.
The role is office based until you are firmly established in your new role. At some stage in the future, there may be an opportunity for the role to become hybrid.

The role will be telephone based, selling a wide range of technology test equipment products to trade and industry sourced from leading manufacturers and their in-house calibration and repair services, reawakening old clients and generating new ones. Job Purpose:
To build and maintain strong relationships with both existing and potential company clients, understanding their needs and requirements, and then providing tailored solutions when required. To generate new business opportunities (focusing on ocean freight primarily, but not excluding road, airfreight, and customs clearance services) targeting both import and export clients. The role focuses on achieving agreed sales targets, enhancing customer satisfaction, and ultimately contributing to overall business growth. The role predominantly requires field-based client engagement, but collaboration face to face with internal teams will be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities with both import and exporting companies.
- Generate leads and cold calls with prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to understand customer needs and propose suitable freight solutions.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to clients.
- Negotiate rates and contracts in line with company pricing structures and margin expectations.

- Additional experience in air freight, road freight and customs procedures will be an advantage but not essential.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding operations and documentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
- Competent in the Microsoft Office Suite & CRM Software.
- Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid UK/NI driver's license.
