Our Lifting Superintendents support multiple projects across the UK - you must be willing to work away every week (Monday - Friday) and be flexible with regards to travel and location.
What will you be doing?
As a Lifting Superintendent for BES Heavy Lifting Solutions, you will be providing our customers with independent and impartial advice during the planning and execution phases of projects.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Reporting to the Area Lifting Engineers, providing support/technical input as required
- Providing oversight and on site governance of contractors and suppliers lifting operations, ensuring work is carried out in accordance with company and project standards, approved lift plans (SSOW) using certified lifting personnel, equipment and accessories
- Stopping any lifting operation from occurring if they have any concerns over the safety of the lift
- Identifying lifting issues at site level and report using the company and project safety observation reporting systems
- Reporting and recording all lifting related near misses/accidents/incidents
- Monitor and/or audit lifting operations, including the management of lifting equipment.
- Monitor all variations to lifting documentations, ensuring that they are reviewed/approved by BES Heavy Lifting Solutions Ltd prior to the task commencing
- Maintain detailed site logs and records of all lifting activity in support of the effective execution of project contract
- Consistently providing an exceptional level of customer service, while representing our brilliant company professionally
As part of our team, you will get:
- Salary up to £68,750 (inclusive of project bonus)

- Significant experience of supervising lifting operations in an environment of construction sites, including marine, Heavy Lift and General Lifting Operations - both on and offshore
- Construction Industry Knowledge
- Advanced experience of working within Heavy Lift Crane Operations Plant and equipment – both onshore and offshore
- Demonstration of successful participation within international teams
- Full understanding of slinging and signalling techniques
- A flexible approach to working, you should be able and willing to work away, overtime and to cover workloads during busy periods

Job Summary
