We're looking for a world class Tax Analyst to join the Snap Finance team! Working from our London office as a member of the Snap Tax team, you'll collaborate with other groups within Team Finance to support our global tax accounting and compliance functions, implementing process improvements and best practices within the tax operations group.
What you'll do:
+ Support our international income tax accounting, compliance and controversy activities
+ Supervise EMEA tax compliance engagements and manage budgets and timelines, partnering with outsourced vendors
+ Support the preparation and review of the statutory financial statements of our international group
+ Proactively identify, manage and implement tax opportunities for the business
+ Assist in the review of international tax provisions prepared by local accounting teams to ensure compliance with both local GAAP and US GAAP requirements
+ Research complex tax issues / tax accounting positions under ASC 740, FRS 101 and IFRS
+ Assist with internal control compliance efforts, including enhancing control framework and coordinating quarterly testing of controls
+ Support the global quarterly and annual tax accounting process in accordance with ASC 740 and FRS 101
+ Evaluate and implement software solutions for tax accounting needs
+ Support on engagement admin including maintenance and rationalisation of purchase orders, invoicing, ad hoc tax payments, and tax-related bank activity.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Knowledge of broad base direct tax principles, with experience of R&D credits a plus
+ Must be able to operate effectively and accurately in a deadline-driven fast-paced environment
+ Must have a strong work ethic and be able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
+ Familiarity with accounting for income taxes under USGAAP (ASC 740), FRS 101 and IFRS; tax provision software experience is a plus
+ Detail oriented with strong trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills
+ Strong communicator with desire and ability to build relationships
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field, or equivalent years of experience
+ Tax experience in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate tax department of multinational company, or combination thereof
Preferred Qualifications:
+ ACA/ACCA or equivalent
+ Masters in Tax
+ Experience in Oracle ERP and OneSource Tax Provision software

The Tax Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate tax filings and contribute to the smooth operation of tax processes across the group.
This position reports to the Head of Tax and is part of the Finance Team located in Cambridge and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Prepare UK Research & Development Expenditure Credit (RDEC) and Patent Box claims.
+ Collaborate with external advisors to prepare UK and international tax returns. Calculate or review corporate tax payments and ensure timely settlement across the group.
+ Prepare US GAAP tax provisions, including return-to-provision adjustments.
+ Prepare the PAYE Settlement Agreement, CT61 and VAT return, in conjunction with accounting teams.
+ Contribute to ad-hoc tax projects and strategic initiatives as required.
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Working towards or recently completed a relevant qualification (e.g., ATT, part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA).

The Tax Analyst will be responsible for preparing and managing all direct and indirect tax compliance and ensuring all filings are made in accordance with relevant tax legislation. The Tax Analyst will report to the Tax Manager and Head of Tax and will play a key role in supporting them and the wider business on complex tax issues. This position requires a proactive individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for tax compliance within a fast-paced environment typical of a motorsport setting. As a Tax Analyst, you will take a leading role in ensuring the business remains fully tax compliant while supporting the wider tax function.

  • Leading on all direct and indirect tax compliance processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of returns, including liaising with internal teams and collating information required by services providers as appropriate
  • Supporting the tax and global mobility team with tax related matters across a variety of areas including employment, indirect tax and Short-Term Business Visitor (STBV) reporting
  • Completing and reviewing corporate tax forms and associated documentation while monitoring IR35 compliance, liaising with contractors and the wider business as necessary
  • Maintaining a compliance calendar and staying up to date with the changes in UK tax legislation to ensure tax filing requirements and preparing clear, concise summaries to share with the wider finance team
  • Identifying and mitigating tax-related risks by assisting with the drafting of tax policies and processes along with the development and implementation of internal tax controls as part of our internal risk and compliance framework
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous process improvements, for example through standardization and leveraging available technology
