What Will I Be Doing?

  • Running explosive test set-ups for air-to-air and air-to-ground ejection systems
  • Supporting live testing of refuelling systems using AAR rigs
  • Operating and maintaining critical test equipment (calibration, returns, traceability)
  • Compiling and analysing engineering test data
  • Performing DAQ fault-finding and assisting with technical troubleshooting
  • Supporting high-speed camera operations
  • Managing area control: access, asset allocation, and maintenance
  • Driving continuous improvement and applying 5S principles to keep the range safe and efficient

Who Are We Looking For?

You're methodical under pressure, detail-focused, and thrive in highly controlled technical environments. You'll likely come from one of these backgrounds:

Level 5 - Ex-RAF or similar with direct experience in explosive test facilities, diagnostics, calibration, and fire/control systems
Level 4 - Solid technical experience bridging hands-on skills and system-level knowledge
Level 3 - Strong technician-level skill set with fault-finding ability and high-pressure system familiarity (aviation background not essential)

What Do I Need?

  • Recognised aerospace apprenticeship or HM Forces engineering background
  • ONC/HNC or equivalent (dependant on experience level)

Role Purpose
