Adecco are recruiting for a Production Line Leader to join our client in Arbroath on a permanent basis.
Your role will be to assist in the efficient and effective operation of the packing lines to ensure delivery of product, on time, to specification. You will report to the Supervisor, and work closely with the Maintenance, Manufacturing and Dispatch Supervisor.
Your Responsibilities
- Follow all safety standards to protect yourself, your team, and our customers
- Support departmental goals while maintaining safety and quality
- Ensure product quality and hygiene meet agreed specifications
- Report equipment damage, downtime, and staff issues to the Supervisor
- Set up packing lines efficiently to minimise downtime
- Maintain cleanliness through "clean as you go" practices
- Ensure staff are trained and competent in tasks like sleeving, packing, and pallet building
- Use electronic systems to log hold items and non-conforming products
- Identify training needs before starting new tasks
- Report any unsafe practices or procedures
- Report any working relationship issues promptly to your Supervisor
- Liaise with colleagues to meet production targets

Main Purpose and Context of the Job
- To control all aspects of the line production to deliver 100% service in quality and meals. Responsible for the Health and Safety of staff members on their line.
Main Responsibilities
The efficient running of the meal assembly production line
Ensuring that all targets are met, and specifications and procedures are followed.
Ensuring minimum line downtime is achieved through adopting a proactive approach.
Key activities:
Health and Safety procedures and checks are carried out to maintain a safe workplace for everyone.
Ensure all product leaving the production lines meets the agreed customer specification (CCP)
To control and organize labor on the line, ensuring all procedures are followed
To manage the production lines at all times to achieve plan, in full and on time
Ensure correct materials are brought to line at correct time and used in the correct quantity
Assist with stock rotation and control and product labelling systems
Keep lines clean and tidy to comply with best G.M.P. practice
Key Result Areas:
To monitor material usage ensuring no under or overweight finished product
Ensure that the agreed labor and strike rate targets are being achieved
Promote a working environment charged with enthusiasm
