What will I be doing?

*Develop and maintain detailed shopfloor schedules to meet the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
*Monitor production progress, identify risks or delays, and support recovery actions.
*Analyse short-term load vs. capacity and work with team leads to address constraints.
*Manage the full lifecycle of work orders, from release to completion, in the ERP system.
*Ensure timely availability of components and coordinate with relevant departments on shortages.
*Adjust plans based on non-conformances or quality issues, working closely with Quality teams.
*Maintain accurate planning and master data in the ERP system.

What do I need to succeed?

*Strong knowledge of production planning and MRP2 principles (e.g. APICS).
*Experience using ERP systems in a manufacturing environment, ideally SAP but not essential.
*Understanding of production processes and quality systems.
*Analytical mindset with the ability to manage priorities and solve problems quickly.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*A proactive, results-driven attitude and the ability to adapt to change.
*Proficiency with standard office software (e.g. Excel, Word, etc.).

Our client has an opportunity for a Technical Shopfloor Engineer to join them on a contract basis until August 2026.

Role : Technical Shopfloor Engineer
Location : Broughton, Flintshire. Fully onsite.
Hours : Alternating weeks of morning and afternoon Monday to Friday
Mornings - 6:00am - 1:10pm
Afternoons - 1:30pm - 8:40pm
Clearance : BPSS required to start
Hourly Rate: 36.00 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35. + 20% shift uplift

What you'll be doing:

  • Accompany the production team / Autonomous Production Team (APT).
  • Supports in identifying, analysing and solving technical issues not directly manageable by the Operators & First Line Manager (FLM).
  • Provides an E2E perspective at the shopfloor level within the production team / APT in Airbus.
  • Supports continuous production enablement by efficiently utilising available resources & knowledge
  • Contributes to the Operational Excellence targets within her/his area by adhering to the continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Support in identifying Non-Conformance on the shopfloor.


Requirements:

  • HNC qualification would be desirable
  • Manufacturing engineering experience required
  • Experience working to regulatory requirements and constraints.

About the Role

Our aerospace client, a well-regarded leader in the sector, is seeking a Semi-Skilled Operative to join their Rib Cell Area on the A380 Assembly Line. This is a contract position offering hands-on experience within a high-quality, fast-paced aerospace environment.

Eligibility: Due to the nature of the work, BPSS clearance is required . Only UK nationals or eligible applicants will be considered. Failure to obtain or maintain clearance may impact employment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform fitting tasks to high standards within the Rib Cell Area

  • Assist with assembly and installation of ribs in aerospace structures
