Cherry Professional are currently working with a well established Manufacturing company. As the Project Design Engineer you will support the entire design lifecycle, from concept through to detailed design and final commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure designs are compliant with industry regulations, technical standards, and client requirements.
Produce and review design documentation, including reports, specifications, calculations, and equipment schedules - Provide technical support during the procurement, installation, and commissioning stages, ensuring that mechanical systems are installed and operate according to the design intent.
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of a facility construction project
- Managing sub-contractors
- Monitor project progress and report on milestones, risks, and issues
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Creating SOP's and risk assessments
- Managing full lifecycle of the site refurbishment
- Manage the lifecycle of key strategic projects
- Co-ordinate all project aspects from budget, plans, schedules, and processes
Ideal Candidate:
- Manage the lifecycle of key strategic projects
- Understanding and knowledge of CDM regualations
- Co-ordinate all project aspects from budget, plans, schedules, and processes
- 3+ years of experience within industrial or manufacturing construction projects
- Knowledge of recycling processes or environmental engineering is a plus
- Degree in mechanical or Civil Engineering

Oil & Gas / Electrical / Site Project Management
I am working with my client based in Kent, who require an Electrical Project / Site Manager for a key project. They require support during a critical snagging and rewire phase; and are now seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join their team and oversee the completion of works to full oil & gas specifications.
For the position of Electrical Project / Site Manager, you will be required to conduct the following duties:
• Oversee day-to-day site-based activities relating to electrical rewire and snagging
• Monitor subcontractors on site (rewiring HVAC systems, repositioning equipment)
• Ensure all works comply with oil & gas project specifications
• Support QA and coordinate with the quality engineer
• Manage internal and external communications with clients and stakeholders
• Assess site teams and ensure timely materials and equipment readiness
The successful Electrical Project / Site Manager will need to have the following attributes:
• Electrally qualified – ideally with HNC or equivalent
• Strong experience within oil & gas
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, HVAC and rewire work
• Comfortable managing subcontractors and resolving site-based issues
• Hands-on, proactive and confident communicator
• Familiarity with ICSS, UPS, HV/LV switchgear room requirements
• Site safety certification essential
