Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Civil Engineering Design Manager to oversee and direct the design process for a variety of challenging projects in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, UK . Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Design Manager will provide delivery leadership of Burns & McDonnell's UK engineering design projects within the power transmission & distribution sector.
+ Lead engineering design work across the UK business, working closely with the Engineering Director to assemble suitable project teams from across our global offices, as required.
+ Provide overall project management of design projects from concept to completion in accordance with recognized best practices (APM/PMP/PRINCE2 or similar), including FEED, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, constructability reviews, construction stage design support, and closeout.
+ Fulfil the project role of Project Manager on assigned design-only projects or fulfilling the role of Design Manager on assigned Design & Build/Engineer, Procure, Construct (EPC) projects.
+ Responsible for performance of assigned projects, including but not limited to:
+ Safety, health, environmental management, sustainability, and quality.
+ Profit and loss.
+ Risk management.
+ Adequate and appropriate resourcing.

+ Act as Principal Designer representative, as defined by UK Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, where required.
+ Where appropriate and required, act as the Lead Contractor Design Approval Engineer (LCDAE), as defined by National Grid's TP137 procedure, or equivalent role as defined by other clients.
+ Support the preparation of project proposals, lead presentations, and lead project contract negotiations with support from senior management.
+ Drive 'Safety by Design' approach on all projects, at all times.
+ Support nurturing of a safety and technical excellence culture through emphasis on staff competence, diligence, and responsible attitude.
+ Understanding wider industry best practices and client technical standards/procedures for construction, operations & maintenance, and decommissioning, in order to drive safety, constructability, and operability throughout whole asset lifecycles.

**Qualifications**

+ Understanding of the requirements of relevant UK Health & Safety legislation relating to design and construction work in the electricity supply industry.
+ Understanding of the requirements of relevant UK Environmental and Waste Management legislation.
+ Thorough understanding of current Construction (Design & Management) Regulations, and experience of discharging all required duties of the CDM Principal Designer representative.
+ Strong contract management skills and understanding of NEC family of contracts.

We are recruiting a Mobile Engineer to join the team located at sites across the Midlands including Hinckley, Rugby, and Coventry. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure all environmental conditions are always maintained about critical building systems and to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the sites.
**Key Responsibilities:**
To deliver the following:
+ To travel to sites across the advertised locations. Full UK driving license required.
+ Ensure that routine PPM (to SFG 20) is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
+ Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items.
+ Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to always maintain plant in serviceable order.
+ Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
+ Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
+ Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
+ To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
+ Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
+ Ensure the professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented at all times.
+ Ensure up to date shift logs are kept at all times.
+ Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of CBRE Managed services are always locked and are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
+ Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
+ To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
