We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Assembly/Semi-skilled Coachbuildersto join our clients manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in using hand and power tools. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for assembly tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of assembly processes with our client manufacturing workshop.
Hours - Monday to Thursday:7:30am - 16:30pm & Friday 7:30am - 15:30pm- Overtime available
Duties
- Assemble components and products according to specifications and quality standards.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during production tasks.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations while performing all duties.
- Assist in the organisation of the warehouse, ensuring materials are stored correctly.
Experience
- Proven mechanical knowledge is essential for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is required for assembly tasks.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous, providing familiarity with production environments.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

About the Role
We are currently seeking a Workshop Semi-Skilled / Skilled Technician to join the Local Authority on an agency basis. This is a vital role ensuring the maintenance, repair, and safe operation of both Light Goods and Heavy Goods Vehicles in line with strict compliance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on vehicles in accordance with Health & Safety regulations , O Licence requirements , and DVSA standards .
- Apply professional technical methods and maintain workshop standards.
- Communicate effectively with the Workshop Supervisor/Manager throughout the repair/maintenance process.
- Complete assigned workload and submit all required documentation in a timely manner.
- Undertake relevant training to maintain and update technical knowledge.
- Ensure proper use of council equipment and facilities.
- Hold or be willing to obtain licences to drive/test vehicles and equipment.
- Observe and adhere to safe working practices, COSHH handling, and risk assessments.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
- Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair , ideally within a local authority or fleet environment.
- Strong understanding of O Licence and DVSA compliance standards .
