Skilled Labourer / Handyman - Long-Term Housing Site Work

Location: Wynyard, Stockton-on-Tees
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 16:30
Rate: 17.25 per hour (CIS payment available)

We are currently seeking a Skilled Labourer / Handyman to join a busy housing development in Wynyard. This is a long-term position offering consistent hours and stability for the right candidate.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Assisting the onsite finisher with day-to-day tasks

• Carrying out a variety of handyman duties across the site

• General DIY and repair work as required

• Ensuring work areas are kept clean and safe

• Supporting trades and site management where needed

Requirements:

• A valid CSCS card (essential)

• Previous experience as a handyman, skilled labourer, or in a similar role

• Strong practical skills and the ability to use basic tools confidently

• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive work ethic

Salary :

Day shift (Early finish Friday) - 25,397.74 + KPI Bonus + Attendance Bonus

Backshift (4 10-hour shifts) - 28,848.46 + KPI Bonus + Attendance Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift (FLT) to move and handle materials.
• Overhead Crane Operation: Use overhead cranes to transport heavy materials.
• Bandsaw Operation: Set up and operate bandsaws to cut materials to required specifications.
• Material Handling: Load, transport, and store materials in the production area.
• Quality Control: Inspect materials for accuracy and quality.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations and use PPE.
• Maintenance & Housekeeping: Perform routine checks on equipment and maintain a clean workspace.

• 18th Edition will be beneficial
