3-week rotating shift (2 weeks days, 1 week nights – no weekends)
 
An established food manufacturer is looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. If you're looking for a well-rounded, hands-on engineering role with genuine variety and long-term stability, this could be a great fit.
 
What you'll be doing:
- Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across a wide range of production machinery
- Fault-finding across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems
- Supporting and improving the site's planned maintenance schedule
- Identifying and delivering continuous improvements on machinery and processes
- Working alongside production and technical teams to ensure smooth operation
- Managing contractors on site and ensuring all safety and compliance standards are met
- Maintaining accurate paperwork and records, including CMMS updates and legionella checks
 
What we're looking for:
- Apprentice-trained or qualified Multi-Skilled Engineer
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Strong fault-finding skills and a hands-on approach
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, GMP, and compliance standards
- Someone proactive, reliable, and confident working independently
 
Shift pattern:
- Monday to Friday only
- 2 weeks on days: 8:00am – 4:30pm
- 1 week on nights: 3:30pm – 2:00am

The role
As our business is growing, and our passenger numbers are increasing we have a number of opportunities to join our Maintenance team at Manchester Airport, the role of a Multi Skilled Joiner is varied, duties will include but not limited to,
- To proactively ensure that Manchester Airport`s building fabric facilities remain operational within specified safety, legislative, quality, environmental and performance standards and targets.
- To ensure the airport buildings are maintained to a high standard providing an excellent service to customers and service partners across the site
Principle Accountabilities
- Maximise personal capabilities to achieve minimum disruption and downtime in line with service level agreements and other performance standards. Ensuring that Airport Control Centre, Line Management, Customers and Service Partners are kept informed throughout.

Job Title: Mobile HVAC Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an Mobile HVAC Multi Skilled Engineer to join the team covering sites in Manchester, Leeds, Wakefield, and Newcastle.
The successful candidate will perform Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance to both Plant, Equipment and Building Services.
Role Summary:
+ Identify and manage the risks to the client through the equipment on site, including identifying critical spares, improving performance of plant and equipment, managing the environment conditions on site through the BMS system and running all plant and equipment efficiently, improving and implementing the preventative maintenance program.
+ Using new equipment and technologies to maintain a working and comfortable environment liaising with the client on any requests for certain reactive and PPM tasks.
+ Fault finding on all types of HVAC plant and equipment with a bias to the maintenance of Variable Refrigerant Volume air conditioning systems. Working with refrigerant and having the necessary qualifications in the handling of F-Gas.
+ Support others in the team in relation to Health and Safety
+ Perform the role or Energy Champion and assist in the role of Safety Champion for the site.
+ Provide Electrical and Mechanical expertise to the Maintenance team.
+ Write and follow Risk Assessments and be available to question any issues which arise from them safely and accurately.
+ Completion of the required documentation as specified with the requirements of all rules and legislation.
+ Use Mobile Devices to accurately project and complete any works from the CAFM Maintenance System.
+ Use of emailing / calendars to plan your daily work requirements so that all tasks are completed effortlessly and efficiently.
+ Liaise with onsite Supervisor and Account Manager to manage any Building Services related issues, responding confidently and accurately as required.
+ To be the responsible person when required for the team and deputise for the site supervisor during annual leave or sickness where required.
+ To work overtime as and when the business requires, this may include nights and weekends to which notice may not always be given.
+ Perform adhoc duties as and when required.
+ Supervision and management of sub-contractors.
+ Participation on an on-call rota for emergency call out purposes out of normal working hours.
Experience Required:
· A Recognised or Time Served Apprenticeship
· Strong proven experience in HVAC maintenance
· Mechanical Competences / Qualifications to an acceptable standard to City and Guild's Mechanical
· Good multi skilled ability
· Ability to fault find.
· Ability to supervise contractors.
· Able to complete Risk Assessments and Method Statements
· Able to understand and write Permits and safe systems of work.
· F-Gas safe handling and use of refrigerants.
Desirable
· Working at Height Qualification
· IPAF / PASMA
· AP Qualifications

**Job Purpose**
The purpose of the role is:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile Engineer to join the team located at sites across the Northwest of England between Liverpool and Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure all environmental conditions are always maintained about critical building systems and to carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), reactive and breakdown works to all mechanical and electrical systems within the sites.
**Key Responsibilities:**
To deliver the following:
+ To travel to sites across the advertised locations. Full UK driving license required.
+ Ensure that routine PPM (to SFG 20) is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
+ Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items.
+ Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to always maintain plant in serviceable order.
+ Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
+ Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is passed without delay to the contract administrator.
+ Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to always ensure safe working practices.
+ To develop a good working relationship with all members of CBRE staff, subcontractors and the client representatives.
+ Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
+ Ensure the professional image of CBRE Managed Services is presented at all times.
+ Ensure up to date shift logs are kept at all times.
+ Ensure that all plant rooms under the responsibility of CBRE Managed services are always locked and are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
+ Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
+ To arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
+ To undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
+ Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
+ To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
+ Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
+ Ensure Computer Based Maintenance system, SI LOCAL, is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
+ To operate a Permit to Work System in accordance with CBRE Quality, Health & Safety procedures, and client requirements.
+ To provide holiday and emergency cover as required, potentially at sites not normally covered.
+ Any other task as directed by the account management team.
**Qualifications:**
**Education**
+ A good basic education is essential, with good written and spoken English.
+ Basic Mathematics skills.
+ CITY AND GUILDS qualification in a relevant field.
**Skills**
+ Committed to the delivery of excellent customer service.
+ Calm manner, able to work under pressure.
+ Able to make sound decisions when needed.
+ Physically fit and able to carry tools and components by hand up to 20kg.
+ Able to ascend and descend vertical access equipment.
+ Able to work at heights.
+ A team player, able to work with CBRE Managed Services and Alstom representatives at all levels.
+ Good PC skills
**Knowledge**
+ Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures, working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
+ Formally trained in electrical/mechanical Maintenance.
+ BMS Knowledge.
+ Mechanical and commissioning experience.
+ Recognised Health and Safety Qualification, such as IOSH.
+ Engineers must be able to demonstrate relevant knowledge of UPS, Generators, HV, PDU's, Crac units or equivalent, which will include the ability to fault find using the production of graphical information and the utilisation of current alarm data.
+ Engineers must also understand the demarcation between maintainable assets and BPL maintained assets within laboratory and production environments.
**Experience:**
+ Mechanical maintenance skills
+ Experience of maintaining all relevant mechanical and electrical equipment to clearly defined criteria.
+ Good all-round knowledge of general building works, diagnostic and repair procedures.
+ Working knowledge of building services systems and maintenance schedules.
**Circumstances:**
+ Must be willing to provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
+ Must have full UK driving license.
