The Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Handyman / Handywoman for a 3-month project based in Ellesmere Port (CH65 1AD) . The role involves general site maintenance and basic construction-related tasks on a modular building fit-out.
Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements:

General skills
- Good engineering knowledge gained within a maintenance FMCG environment.
- Self managed and able to demonstrate a good level of performance.
- Multi skille ONC/NVQ level 3 of higher in maintenance engineering.
- Good communication and IT skills.
The engineer must be multi skilled and have worked in a reactive role in previous job roles.
We do require the engineer to have a good electrical back ground and have a good proven track record. On the electrical side they must have the ability to read electrical drawings and have the skills to fault find under pressure also PLC experience is required to be able to go online with the equipment and diagnosis control faults etc.
The mechanical side we would expect the engineer to be able to replace bearing and strip down motors on conveying systems and do most common mechanical task.Current PLC used is Allen Bradley.
Company rate and shift details
If successful the engineer would be placed on days for the first two weeks working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
After settling in period would be place on shift.
Shift Pattern is 4 on 4 off (4 days 4 nights) working hours are 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am.
- Rate of pay: starting salary would be 55,817.58Overtime is available and we expect the engineer to assist with holiday cover.
- Holidays : 20 shift per year from April to April after each year extra shift max 22.
- Overtime : Paid at single rate.
- Pension : There is a pension scheme.
