We're looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Worker to work for a Social Housing Client in Mancheste. You will be working on a mix of refurbishment, maintenance, and repair projects within social housing. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - from 1st fix stud walling to installing kitchens and bathrooms.
Key Requirements:
Proven social housing experience
NVQ Level 2 in any trade
Valid UK driving licence (max 6 points)
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Asbestos Awarness (Preferred)
Competent in plumbing, plastering, joinery, tiling, brickwork, and general maintenance
Responsibilities:
Joinery tasks: fitting doors, windows, kitchens, flooring, and more
Carry out plumbing, plastering, tiling, groundworks and other general maintenance duties.
Deliver high-quality work on both void and tenanted properties
Work safely and efficiently, in line with health and safety regulations
Meet deadlines whether working alone or as part of a team

Role Responsibilities
*Undertake the advance preparation/decoration of all product surfaces, both internal and external.
*Carry out basic joinery tasks inclusive of partition walls, doors, windows etc.
*Carry out basic plumbing tasks inclusive of sink and toilet assembly, waste and drainage, copper and push fit fittings etc.
*Undertake basic electrics inclusive of sockets, heaters, lighting etc, supporting in the preparation and first fix, on site.

*Erect access platform and/or operate mechanical plant to undertake work above ground level.

The Role:
The successful candidates will be working within the BIW Assembly Department/Sheet Metal Department, manipulating pre-formed panels and building complete coach-built bodies and bonnets in readiness for assembly. This will require strong craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Manufacturing body panels using traditional sheet metal skills and methods
Hammer forming components from part or fully pressed components
TIG welding of aluminium body panels
Preparation of assembled bodies and panels for paint
General sheet metal and fabrication work
Working to job-specific standard times in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Using manufacturing jigs to ensure precision and quality
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven Sheet Metal/Fabrication/Welding credentials (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)
Excellent practical TIG/MIG welding skills with a strong understanding of welding distortion
Experience manufacturing automotive body panels for the niche/classic car sector
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Experience preparing BIW assemblies for paint
