We are looking for a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Wellpets, Worle, a cosy farm-house practice serving the local community. We support relocation where needed and offer flexible hours where possible.nThere are no OOH duties and we can discuss flexible full-time (usually over 4 days) or part-time hours. You will contribute to our Saturday rota (8:30am–12:30pm). We are supported by a local OOH service provider. Compass Associates are supporting a growing practice in Reading as they look to add a new veterinary surgeon to the clinical team.
The Practice:
Being based just outside of Reading, we have great connections from Slough, Maidenhead, Camberley, Basingstoke, Woking, Guildford and all surrounding areas.
The team consists of 5 Vets who are well supported by fully-staffed RVN and non-clinical support teams. We offer a very broad range of treatments including key hole surgery, home visits, specialist lead orthopaedics, emergency care and dental care on top of all the usual mix you get in first opinion work. Colleagues enjoy a variety of interests including fear-free approaches and feline medicine (Certificates already underway). We do also get a variety of exotic animals coming in so an interest in small mammals or birds is also a plus.
First established in 2010, the team have several long-standing members and are proud to be the local vet practice for 1000s of clients across the region.
The Work:
We are happy to speak with any MRCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon confident with general practice. You will be on a mix of consulting work, surgeries and get involved in very limited sole charge work. We are proud to be hot on the development of our team so if there area areas of work you would like to progress in, this is the place for you.
This role is open to both full and part time applicants, who are also able to commit to 1 in 6 shorter Saturdays.
