Job Description

Solutions Consultant – Defence & AI Delivery | UK-Based | Client-Facing

Location: UK-wide (hybrid / client site as needed)

Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for SC clearance

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Start date: September

Are you passionate about solving real-world problems with cutting-edge AI? Do you thrive in highly secure, mission-critical environments? We’re looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our team and play a key role in shaping how AI transforms Defence and national security organisations.

The Role

As a Solutions Consultant, you’ll work directly with clients across Defence to understand their operational challenges and design impactful AI-led solutions. You’ll act as the vital link between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating mission needs into practical, deployable outcomes.

You’ll lead discovery sessions, help clients define the ‘art of the possible’, and guide them through the design, adoption, and implementation of AI solutions — all while ensuring security, clarity, and confidence at every step.

This is a high-trust, client-facing role that requires both strategic thinking and a hands-on approach to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with Defence clients to understand their challenges and identify how AI and automation can deliver real value
  • Shape solution designs alongside our AI Tech Leads and technical teams, ensuring alignment with both mission goals and delivery capability
  • Lead workshops, discovery phases and proof-of-concept projects, guiding stakeholders from concept to implementation
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences, acting as a trusted advisor throughout delivery
  • Stay across the evolving AI landscape to ensure solutions remain current, responsible and forward-thinking
  • Work within secure environments, ensuring best practices around data protection, ethics, and compliance

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in delivering solutions to client — ideally in public sector, Defence or other regulated environments. Doesn't have to be AI or Tech - we can teach you that part!
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – you can simplify the complex and win stakeholder trust
  • Ability to work confidently across both business and technical domains
  • A consultative, problem-solving mindset – proactive in identifying client needs and recommending the right solution
  • Eligible for UK Government Security Clearance

Desirable

  • Prior experience in consulting or client delivery roles within Defence or national security
  • Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, intelligent automation tools, or data analytics platforms
  • Exposure to Agile delivery or cross-functional project teams

Why Join Us?

At Accelleo, we’re working at the frontier of applied AI — helping Defence organisations think differently, act faster, and innovate safely. We don’t sell products or one-size-fits-all platforms. Instead, we design and deliver tailored, high-impact AI solutions that solve real operational problems.

We’re the innovators who think differently — combining deep technical expertise with a practical understanding of secure environments and mission needs. You’ll be part of a close-knit, purpose-driven team that values learning, creativity and trust.

If you’re passionate about the possibilities of AI and want to make a tangible impact in the UK’s most important sectors, we’d love to hear from you.
