**What are we looking for?**
+ You have experience in a similar position within solutions engineering/pre-sales engineering within a relevant sector.
+ Experience in network technologies, and certification (NSE7, CCNA, CCNP, Network +, or similar).
+ Experience in Cyber Security (Security Operations, Risk Mitigation, Incident Management, Vulnerability Management, or similar disciplines).
+ Experience in Compliance and Governance (ISO 270001, NIST, GDPR, Cyber Essentials, or similar frameworks).
+ Can build and develop strategic business relationships.
+ 5+ years Technical Information Technology background/experience.

**Position Summary**
Splunk seeks a highly motivated, outcome-focused individual to join as a Sales Engineer for the UK New Business team focused on acquiring Net New Logos. Sales Engineers must be comfortable building rapport with key stakeholders, serving as a trusted adviser and articulating value at the executive, business, and technical levels. Your ability to communicate well and engage with the right people in the right way in a timely manner is crucial to this role. You will be the authority regarding the technical aspects of our solutions and how they integrate within our clients' workflow and tooling.
New Business Sales Engineers develop and own technical proof activities to drive new opportunities and generate sales pipeline through workshops, office hours, and Q&A sessions with partners and prospects. This is a fast-paced team with an emphasis on pain discovery, MEDDIC, value selling, and collaboration at all parts of the sales cycle.
