AV Technician

The role may at times require the set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as meetings, presentations, and news conferences.

• To liaison with meeting coordinator or venue director to establish workflow of events.
• Create and install custom lighting systems.
• Monitor sound feeds to ensure quality.

Requirements

• Perform equipment storage and transportation activities in safe and secure manner.
• Perform inventory management of equipment, wirings, and accessories to avoid any shortages.
• Setup and operate audio visual equipment for trainings, presentations, meetings, and conferences.
• Perform equipment inspections, Identify potential equipment malfunctions
• Assemble and disassemble audi0 equipment as needed.
• Testing of pre-installed equipment to ensure they are in good and safe working conditions.
• Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required.
• Maintain the work room and storeroom clean, safe, and organized.

IT/AV Support Technician

• 12 Months Temporary Assignment
• Pay Rate - 15.77 - 16.48 Per Hour
• Weekly Hours - 36.5 (Days Monday - Friday)

We are seeking technicians to provide support services to all customers of a university IT Group's services and products. This will be dealing directly with end user needs and issues, providing empathy and understanding, whilst also offering confidence and assurance that customers' needs and requirements can be met and solved quickly in a professional manner.

The main purpose of the role is to provide smart hands-on support across hardware and software platforms and products, escalating support to specialist teams were appropriate.

Duties and tasks will include:

• Advise on outdated or end-of-life hardware, software, and AV solutions, contributing to the planning and coordination of effective replacement strategies.

Role Requirements:

• Good general level of Education or demonstrable experience working at user support level
• ITIL Foundation
• Experience of working in technical environments
• Experience of providing technical workarounds or solutions to end users
• Experience of using Microsoft based applications and software / general computing experience
• Experience of using a service management tool for handling of requests and incidents such as ServiceNow, Topdesk etc
• Previous experience of working effectively with teams, escalating and prioritising incidents and requests
• Experience of supporting live events and working in a time sensitive environment (Desirable)
• Experience of setting up and maintaining AV equipment of varying scope and scale (Desirable)

• Strong understanding of workplace health & safety practices.
• A testing and verification qualification would be desirable.
• Full UK driving licence (held for a minimum of 12 months).

Responsibilities:

• You will be required to update/ action incidents as they come in and following troubleshooting reported faults.

Key Responsibilities:

•  Actively assist with the development of proAV’s BIM strategy with the senior technical manager and senior BIM technician, including setup of templates, drawing sheet borders and splash screen.

• Produce BIM models to Level of detail (LOD) and Information (LOI) as per the project BEP.

• Export drawing sheets for our preliminary and construction information release dates in line with the project programme and/or TIDP.

• Share the BIM models to the project CDE in the agreed formats and timeframes as per the project BEP.
• Produce drawings and schedules as required to assist with the capture of asset data as part of the project BEP and AIR.
• Setup and input the information for the specific COBie or other asset data fields as identified in the project BEP and AIR.
• Produce as-built model and drawings for handover and incorporation into the project O&M manual.
