Pure Care are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chef to join the catering team at a purpose-built elderly Care Home in the Angmering/Worthing area. The core responsibilities will be to deliver high quality, fresh, home cooked meals for the residents, working in an extremely rewarding setting.
Vacancy Reference: PK62808 (Care Home Sous Chef)
This is a full time, permanent Sous Chef role within an established company paying a fantastic 15.00 per hour! This is working 40 hours per week (7am-3pm, 11:30am-7:30pm shifts), and you will have the support of at least 1 Kitchen Assistant on each shift.
This role is working in a beautiful 55 bedded Elderly Home that is a part of an award winning charity that has a strong history of supporting and developing their staff. Sous Chef candidates will ideally have a valid Food Hygiene Certificate and previous experience of working in a Care Home, School or similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
A good understanding of Health and Safety and COSHH guidelines is required within the Chef role. Qualifications within catering and hospitality such as City & Guilds 706/1+2, Professional Cookery or Catering would be looked upon favourably but are not essential. Dysphagia / IDDSI knowledge would be welcomed.
