We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants for a couple of high needs primary schools in Bath to start working in September for the new academic year. As a sports coach or graduate, you will often have the perfect personality and skillset to work with children and bring an element of structure and creativity both inside and outside the classroom. This is a great opportunity to make a positive impact on young minds while also gaining valuable experience in the education field.

- Support the teacher with the lesson plan through preparing learning materials.
- Adapt teaching support according to student's needs.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging sports and physical activity sessions that are tailored to meet the diverse needs of our students. The children you will work with may have experienced trauma and may present with anxiety, behavioural challenges, or mental health needs. Physical activity is a key part of their development and therapeutic support.
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum of 6 months experience working in the UK
* Proven experience working with children with special educational needs, including trauma, anxiety, behaviour, and mental health challenges
* Experience and training in physical intervention (Team Teach or equivalent)
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (no public transport available to the school)
* A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach to supporting young people
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver inclusive, structured sports sessions in line with students' abilities and needs
* Support pupils in developing physical skills, confidence, and teamwork
* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
* Use de-escalation techniques and physical intervention when necessary, in line with training
