**Key Responsibilities** **?**
+ Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) when conducting all work.
+ Completion of all paperwork to good documentation standard.
+ Execution of safety, food safety and quality controls in adherence with site procedures.
+ Cleaning process equipment and plant as required and preparing/charging raw materials for the entire process.
+ Monitoring laboratory and other relevant process related results; taking the appropriate action to ensure that products and intermediates meet specification; coordinating the shutdown of plant and equipment on the basis of instruction or observation Conducting specified laboratory tasks, analysing, recording and interpreting results.
+ Sensory process observations in the field (eg level interfaces, colours, sounds etc).
+ Inspecting the equipment in the field to ensure that it is working properly according to specified operating parameters (leaks, pressure, temperature, levels etc.) in the context of the production process.
+ Checking that equipment, pumps, fittings, safety devices, valves, etc. are in good condition and reporting non-conformities to the control room operator, and carrying out repairs and maintenance (eg. changing gaskets, lubrication, minor maintenance, splitting flanges, changing valves etc).
+ Note: the plant & equipment the operators work with can be located at various heights from floor level to ceiling level therefore there is a requirement to climb ladders and stairs to access mezzanine areas.
+ Monitoring, controlling and managing processes from the control room using the DCS system to ensure key operating parameters remain within the defined operating window and where appropriate taking every opportunity to communicate any improvement suggestions.
+ Assisting maintenance personnel on maintenance tasks.
+ Writing and Issuing of work permits.
+ Solving non-routine problems in the Control room and in the field.
+ Preparing and participating in shift handover including detailed explanations for deviations from key operating parameters; performing the role of data recorder to support the asset utilisation work process.
+ Driving fork lift trucks/electric pallet trucks.

**You Bring**
+ Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in industrial manufacturing.
+ NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or equivalent Modern Apprenticeship in a related field (preferred).
+ Willingness to pursue further education - ability to achieve Level 3 City & Guilds qualification and relevant SVQ within 2-3 years.
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Flexibility and a proactive attitude.
+ Physical fitness - ability to perform repetitive manual tasks and lift loads up to 25kg.

Our client, a leading provider of design, manufacturing, and maintenance services for water infrastructure projects, is currently seeking a Field Technician to join their dynamic team.

About Our Client:
With a commitment to excellence and safety, our client specializes in pipework across clean water networks. They are dedicated to delivering outstanding results for their clients and fostering a culture of excellence and safety within their team.

Your Role:
As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for a broad spectrum of field-based activities such as trunk and distribution main isolations, asset investigation and validation, operability testing, reservoir outages and mains disinfections, and all associated water quality activities such as flushing and sampling. You will work closely with the Field Supervisor, Senior Technicians, and Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities:
*Undertake a variety of field-based Water Network activities primarily in and around the M25, with occasional work in the Thames Valley region.
*Lead duties as the first-person in a team of two, troubleshooting to achieve a safe, first-time result.
*Identify potential issues, determine their root causes, and utilize available resources to troubleshoot, resolve, repair, or make necessary adjustments while collaborating with the team and stakeholders.
*Handle both planned and unplanned work, investigating clean water networks to address performance issues such as high or low pressure, leakage, metering queries, and supply disruptions.
*Conduct day-to-day activities including trunk main isolation, operability checks, asset verification, logger deployment, and various water quality activities like flushing and sampling.
*Monitor flows and pressures, taking turbidity and chlorine readings, and applying skills in optimization to detect anomalies, find resolutions, and ensure a safe result.
*Operate clean water assets such as valves and hydrants, working with large diameter trunk mains as well as smaller distribution mains.
*Utilize GIS plans, site schematics, and other reference documents to conduct comprehensive site assessments such as point of work risk assessments, site survey reports, and trace extensions.
*Perform risk and hazard inspections, delivering comprehensive reports to the Project team in a client-ready format.
*Support and collaborate with office-based project teams, providing solutions to emerging issues, reporting and escalating when necessary, and preparing vehicles, equipment, and stock for upcoming tasks.
*Coach and mentor fellow operatives, sharing your knowledge and skills.
*Ensure complete and unwavering compliance with Company, client, and industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:
*Minimum 3 years of practical, clean water industry field experience.
*First-person lead on trunk main isolations on large diameter mains.
*Ideal experience includes district metered area validation, zonal pressure tests, and experience with valve shut-offs and step testing.
*EUSR Water Hygiene.
*Valve operations including CALM Networks.
*NRSWA Operative (Unit 2).
*IT proficiency including Office365, GIS mapping tools, PDA/Tablet use, and online reporting software.
*Full UK driving license.

Job Title: Water Field Technician
Duration: Full time, Permanent
Location: Various locations across projects covering mainly throughout the south east water areas and inside the M25, head office is based in Kent.

Our client is a leading strategic project management company specializing in clean water asset services, seeking motivated individuals to join as Water Technicians.

Key responsibilities
* The successful candidate will be responsible for broad spectrum of field based activities.
* Trunk and distribution main isolations
* Asset investigation and validation.
* Operability testing
* Reservoir outages and mains disinfections
* All associated water quality activities such as flushing and sampling.

Ideal candidates should possess:

* Minimum 3 years practical, clean water industry field experience
* First-person lead on trunk main isolations on large diameter mains Ideal experience include: District metered area validation, zonal pressure tests and experience with valve shuts offs and step testing.
* Large diameter trunk main isolations, asset verification and validations.
* EUSR Water Hygiene Valve operations including CALM Networks
* NRSWA Operative (Unit 2)
* IT proficient including Office365, GIS mapping tools, PDA/Tablet use and online reporting software.
* Full, clean UK driving license.

Training The company will conduct comprehensive mandatory training sessions to equip candidates with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the role.

Shift Pattern The standard working hours are 40 hours per week, covering day shifts, with occasional flexibility based on specific project needs. Additionally, once every four weeks, there will be a requirement for night shifts, spanning from Monday to Thursday (36 hours), that you should be available for a 20% uplift applies for night shifts.

What you'll do:
  • Servicing and maintenance of equipment (i.e. water & fluid chillers, air handlers, pumps and air conditioning units)
  • Perform major equipment repairs, carry out troubleshooting and fault diagnostics
  • Ensuring that equipment is prepared and made ready for hire or transfer on time
  • Strive to continuously improve service delivery and quality, ensuring equipment allocated meets business contract requirements
  • Carry out routine servicing of test plant in the depot, liaise with suppliers, internal procurement and Inventory teams to maintain stock levels
  • Comply with company QHSE procedures, maintaining awareness of all regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Provide technical support to Aggreko staff and when required to customers, supporting apprentice development and sharing expertise with local team
  • Opportunity to progress into new fields such as OFA compressors, steam generators, diesel IDF heaters and diesel boilers.

You'll have the following skills and experience:
  • Technical capability
  • A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Refrigerant Handling (F Gas) CITB Brazing
  • Good level of PC literacy including basic MS Office applications
  • Well organised and capable of keeping vehicle to GSCS standards
  • Able to manage a client's expectations when under pressure

My client is recruiting for a Trainee Leakage Technician who will be based in your area.

The Trainee Leakage Technicians will be trained to find water leaks on the underground water networks within the London Thames Area.

Working 4 x 10hr night shifts.

The Job:

To assist in detailed surveys to identify the type and location of water leakage

Assist repair gangs by providing leak detection services

Assist in survey work/project work not normally associated with day-to-day leak detection

To assist in adequate and accurate completion of all paperwork (including time sheets survey forms leak details and other duties as required

Possess basic computer skills as you will be uploading data onto a Laptop.

It is essential that you hold a full and valid driving licence as you are required to drive for the role.
