This role is a maternity cover full time (contract end date would be end of July 2026) or a it could go into a permanent position but in this case it would be part time.
A food company based in Kingston are on the looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Stock Controller to join their growing team.
As Stock Controller, you will work together with the company’s Ops Team, reporting to the Purchasing Manager and Management team, and will take responsibility for the daily/weekly planning of stock replenishment and stock rotation.
Stock Controller Responsibilities:
- Booking in processes and procedures are followed correctly, all deliveries are booked in and available as live stock in a timely manner.
- Stock is reconciled on arrival and any issues with quality, quantity delivered, or pricing is flagged with supplier.
- Work with senior management team, on seasonal/yearly planning of our stock holding replenishment and costs.
- Monitor overstocks and wastage
- Assist with rework of stock where required.
- Assist with other ad-hoc operational duties when/ where necessary

Your new role
In this key position, you will work collaboratively with the Supply Chain and Operations Teams, and take responsibility for the daily / weekly planning of stock replenishment and stock rotation.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working in a similar position, placing orders and liaising with Suppliers to track / expedite, to ensure that they are delivered within the agreed timeframes. You will collaborate with offsite warehousing partners to ensure they are booking in goods according to correct procedure, enabling stock to be live and available in a timely manner. You will also work with warehousing partners to identify any quality or quantity discrepancies, and work with suppliers to resolve, escalating if necessary.
Any experience of Inventory / Stock planning is an advantage as you will work with the leadership team on seasonal / yearly planning. You will have strong Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, Vlookup and similar), be numerate and comfortable working with large datasets. You will be well-organised and able to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic planning environment. A degree is useful but not essential. Experience in Food / FMCG sector is a definite advantage.

We are seeking a personable and outgoing individual to join our Croydon branch as a Stock Controller on a full-time permanent basis.
You will be supporting the Service Manager and Service Team Leader by ensuring stock within the warehouse is controlled, as well as planning installs and removals. Other responsibilities include:
- Efficient stock control of all stock items in the branch.
- Stock cage key holder responsibility.
- Ordering stock.
- Picking stock for drivers routes.
- Ensuring that stock is checked on & off vans and counted accurately by the Warehouse staff.
- Maintaining Branch Stock KPIs.
- No lost items.
- Ensure the quality of the stock being delivered to the customers.
- Liaise with the Plant for shortages, stock issues etc.
- Ensuring adequate stock in stores for routes and new installs/replacements/upgrades. (soap, air care, waste bags, batteries, hand dryers etc)
- End of Month Stock Checks.
- Ensuring removals are counted in and sorted for return to Plant or our stores to be reutilised or recycled.
