Centric Talent is currently recruiting for Stock Control Administrator to join our clients team at their warehouse in Waltham Abbey.
Our client is one of the UK's leading suppliers of bathroom, kitchen and plumbing products, supplying products to retailersup and down the UK.

Job overview

You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate stock levels across our national distribution network. Your focus will be on data accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and resolving discrepancies quickly and efficiently to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain.

Structure:

This role will report to the warehouse Manager but will have a close relationship with all other shift patterns.

The ideal person:

Proactive and analytical
Thrives in a fast-paced environment
Confident working with stock systems, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy in reporting
Excellent communication skills, be confident working across department
Strong attention to detail
Experience in computer-based operations (WMS) an advantage

Key activities and responsibilities:

Co-ordinate actions from mailbox and escalate to appropriate team
Responsible for mailbox management
Stationery management
Scanning & emailing Daily delivery notes & manifests to the appropriate departments
Investigation into ongoing failed tickets
Investigation into stock discrepancies
Perpetual Inventory Checks
Produce and distribute daily/weekly stock reports for internal departments
Customer Collections process

Experience and education:

Previous experience in a stock control, inventory or administrative role
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems
Strong numeracy and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational and communication skills
GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English; further education in business administration or logistics is an advantage

Shift pattern

Monday to Friday 06.00-15:30 (including 1 hour unpaid break- 42.5 hours per week)
23 days Holiday - increasing to 25 after 2 years

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory
  • Coordinate logistics and distribution of products
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to optimise supply chain processes
  • Conduct regular stock audits and resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and present inventory reports to management
  • Daily responsibility for all imports into site, control of relevant documentation & ensuring correct on-costs are applied prior to receipting
  • Completion of Customs declaration forms
  • Working out of the Manchester depot and mainly covering purchases into the Manchester depot for the Dublin site
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Proven experience in stock control and logistics management
  • Experience in Import / Export handling and Customs documentation
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in inventory management software
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • SAP experience would be highly desirable

Technologies:

  • Barcode scanning systems

This role is designed for a proactive and hands-on leader who thrives on detail, precision, and team collaboration. As the Stock Control and Administration Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of stock records and the smooth flow of documentation across the warehouse operation. You will work closely with your team on the ground, driving consistency, accountability, and high standards across all areas- from stock integrity to dispatch processing. This is not just a supervisory role- it is a visible, active position that requires presence, engagement, and ownership.
You will be leading a capable Stock and Admin team, where everyone's input matters. Your ability to guide, support, and develop others while ensuring operational excellence will be key to success.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Open the warehouse daily (key holder responsibility) - shift starts at **6:00 AM** (access from 5:45 AM) and ends at **2:00 PM** .
+ Lead and support the warehouse team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
+ Manage stock control processes, including inventory tracking, replenishment, and reporting.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation related to stock movements and warehouse activities.
+ Support administrative tasks related to logistics, stock audits, and compliance.
+ Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and company policies.
The Team Leader will work with the Stock & System Supervisor & Hub Manager as part of the Hub leadership team and will share the responsibility for the day to day running of a busy admin. The admin team leader will deputies for the Stock & System Supervisor during periods of holidays and absence.
**JOB DUTIES:**
+ Lead the daily execution of stock control routines, including cycle counts, adjustments, investigations, and accurate system updates.
+ Support and guide the team in real-time stock checks and resolution of discrepancies directly on the warehouse floor.
+ Oversee and contribute to all admin-related tasks, including despatch paperwork, stock reporting, and hub metrics input.
+ Ensure all updates to the warehouse management system (SAP) are timely, accurate, and complete.
+ Be the first point of contact for your team regarding stock and admin queries, task assignments, or process clarification.
+ Collaborate with the Stock Control Supervisor to identify, report, and resolve recurring stock issues or system discrepancies.
+ Maintain strong visibility across all storage zones-racking, floor locations, quarantine, and returns-to uphold stock integrity.
+ Keep comprehensive records for internal audits, inventory checks, and required operational reporting.
+ Uphold and promote company health & safety standards and maintain clean, organised working environments.
+ Provide practical support during staff absences, sales volume peaks, or other operational challenges.
+ Play an active role in onboarding and training new team members, ensuring they understand procedures and expectations.
+ Drive a culture of ownership and accountability within the team, encouraging open communication and continuous improvement
**YOU MUST HAVE:**
+ Proven experience in a warehouse stock control/ admin or warehouse operations-focused role is essential.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead by example in a hands-on, supportive, and engaging manner.
+ Proficient in warehouse management systems (WMS), ideally SAP, and strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
+ Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of stock and admin handling.
+ Confident communicator with the ability to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and motivate others.
+ Resilient under pressure, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
+ Strong understanding of health & safety standards and operational compliance within a warehouse environment.
