We are pleased to be working with a very established company based in Southampton which is looking to recruit an experienced Stock Controller & Logistics Co-ordinator to join their friendly team.
The position of Stock Controller & Logistics Co-ordinator is pivotal to role to manage all National and International stock movement throughout the company, sending products to customers around the globe.
Main duties of the Stock Controller & Logistics Co-ordinator:
- Monitor stock levels across warehouses globally, reconcile monthly reports with SAGE, and address discrepancies or inefficiencies
- Plan and manage global deliveries and stock deployment based on client consumption, ensuring timely and efficient distribution.
- Keep track of stock levels, delivery times, transport costs, and overall logistics efficiency while producing monthly reports
- Accurately manage client purchase orders, quotes, and enquiries to ensure smooth transactions.
- Place orders with suppliers, manage the full supply chain, and flag potential obstacles to operational efficiency.
- Conduct audits, track product conditions, highlight redundant or expiring items, and forecast stock needs
- Respond to customer queries and resolve issues swiftly to uphold a high standard of service.
Key competencies of the Stock Controller & Logistics Co-ordinator
- Experience in a stock management role with knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Working knowledge of SAGE would be an advantage but full training will be given.
- IT literate and proficient user of Microsoft Office Applications especially Excel
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Attention to detail and maintain good, accurate quality of work
- Outstanding organisational, problem-solving and planning skills
- Approachable, committed, pro-active and efficient individual.

Location: Southampton
Salary: Up to 30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (Hybrid working: 1 day from home)

Our client, a global leader in their industry, supplying products and services worldwide, is seeking a highly organised Stock Management & Logistics Co-ordinator to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced logistics professional with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage complex stock and distribution processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately process client/customer purchase orders and quotations.
- Plan and manage stock deployment in line with projected client usage, ensuring timely delivery of products and accessories to warehouses, agents, or direct customers.
- Coordinate multiple international deliveries across varied warehouses and client bases.
- Resolve client queries and provide first-class customer service.
- Place orders with suppliers for products and/or accessories.
- Reconcile stock levels across warehouses and produce monthly stock reports.
- Liaise with management to resolve stock discrepancies.
- Monitor and audit warehouse stock against SAGE, reporting inaccuracies and ensuring proper product storage.
- Track and report on stock quality, quantity, levels, delivery schedules, transport costs, and overall efficiency.
- Identify redundant, expiring, or expired stock and escalate appropriately to management.
- Conduct analysis to support accurate stock projections.
- Process and manage sales orders.
You will need:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role involving global logistics, stock reconciliation, and consumption projection.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal.
- Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel); knowledge of SAGE is advantageous (training can be provided).
