Davin Foods are thrilled to announce that we have opening our depo and are looking for energetic, reliable Supply chain assistant to join our small dynamic team.
(A flexible approach to hours will be required as there may be occasion when it is necessary to work additional hours as dictated by the workload and engagement activities.)
Accountabilities:
- Maintain the pace and standards of performance within the Supply Chain department.
- Assist in monitoring and minimising specific areas of waste, whilst maximising productivity and service, ensuring product availability is always maintained.
- Ensure all raw materials are sourced through an approved supply chain and in line with specification.
- To manage and maintain stock levels of fresh produce and packaging.
- Liaise with departments around the business to ensure communication with regards to inbound supply is consistent.
- Cross-checking Invoices against Purchase Orders, ensuring all information correct before payment is made.
- Ability to notice ordering spikes and trends to react accordingly
- Produce evening Purchasing List from days sales orders and inputting onto Excel spreadsheets.
- Full ownership of vending machine including costing, ordering and replenishment.
- Construct and present analytical data relating to the purchasing function.
- Action and recovery of any shortages, including resolution.
- Occasional Driving of company vehicle / forklift when required.
- Always adhere to Company Policies and Procedures.
- Perform other administrative duties consistent with position, as occasionally required by line manager.
To be successful in your application, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following
Competencies/Skills/Experience and Knowledge:
- GCSES including English Language and Maths with grade C or above.
- Clean Driving Licence
- Desirably has experience in a similar field/knowledge of fresh produce.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines, with a prominent level of accuracy.
- Computer literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
