Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design comprehensive energy storage solutions, encompassing battery management systems (BMS), power conversion systems (PCS), and control strategies.
- Lead technical feasibility studies and define system requirements for new energy storage projects.
- Develop detailed engineering specifications, schematics, and performance models.
- Oversee the integration of energy storage systems with various generation sources (solar, wind) and grid infrastructure.
- Evaluate and select appropriate battery chemistries, components, and technologies based on project needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal R&D, project management, and software development teams.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Develop and implement testing and commissioning protocols for energy storage systems.
- Contribute to thought leadership and strategic planning for the company's energy storage portfolio.
The successful applicant must hold a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a closely related field. A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale energy storage systems is required, with deep knowledge of Li-ion batteries, flow batteries, or other advanced storage technologies. Proven experience with grid interconnection standards, power systems simulation software (e.g., PSS/E, PSCAD), and system architecture design is essential. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are paramount.
