We work with a range of UK and overseas partners as part of an eco-system to tackle issues such as Fraud and Money Laundering which require a joined-up approach from regulators; business; government and the public.

Staff in Intelligence come from a wide range of backgrounds and have a variety of specialist skills and techniques. The work is hugely varied and fast paced and must be done to a tight set of guidelines.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and deliver strategic assessments and intelligence reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct strategic analysis of internal and external factors, including environmental scanning, to support informed decision-making
  • Identify emerging threats, risks and vulnerabilities through comprehensive analysis to guide strategic and tactical planning
  • Generate all-source intelligence to detect and understand economic crime risks such as money laundering and sanctions evasion affecting the UK financial services sector
  • Create high-quality analytical products tailored to diverse audiences, using appropriate formats and presentation styles to communicate insights effectively
  • Collaborate with intelligence teams to enhance threat understanding, share methodologies, review analytical outputs and contribute to a supportive and innovative team environment

Minimum

  • Experience of applying financial legislation including FSMA RIPA CPIA and PIDA to support compliance and investigative outcomes across multiple cases
  • Experience of working collaboratively in cross-functional teams to deliver intelligence-led projects on time and within scope
  • Experience of managing stakeholder relationships

Essential

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex intelligence and draw sound, evidence-based conclusions with clear and effective communication of findings both verbally and in writing
  • Skilled in delivering analytical insights to senior stakeholders across internal and external settings
  • Proficient in advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques and tools
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities and navigating complex or high-risk issues, with sound judgement on escalation and resolution
  • Well-versed in the financial services sector and/or UK Economic Crime landscape, including the National Intelligence Model and relevant information-sharing frameworks
  • Solid understanding of UK Government structures, functions and departmental roles

About The Role

Strategic Infrastructure delivers major strategic UK electricity transmission projects, focused on connecting more clean, low-carbon power to England and Wales. Strategic Infrastructure is a part of National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) and is responsible for delivering 17 major new projects to connect more clean, low-carbon power to the transmission network in England and Wales. These projects play a vital part in achieving the UK Government's ambition of connecting 50GW of offshore wind by 2030. They will be delivered under the regulator's Accelerated Strategic Transmission Investment (ASTI) framework. As well as these 17 projects, Strategic Infrastructure will also focus on the early-stage development of other strategic infrastructure that Ofgem has requested.

The Delivery Strategy team are responsible for ensuring the infrastructure projects that are part of the Great Grid Upgrade, can be delivered successfully. We are delivering these projects alongside routine network maintenance and upgrades, large volumes of customers who wish to connect renewable energy and, in a world where other countries are also decarbonising. So why does that make delivering the Great Grid Upgrade challenging but an incredibly exciting opportunity? We must ensure we are delivering the right scope, at the right time and ensuring we can buy all of the equipment to deliver successfully. Your role as a Graduate Delivery Strategy Lead will be helping us answer key questions such as:

  • What equipment do we need to deliver the Great Grid Upgrade, where are the supply chain constraints and what are our opportunities to maximise value for end consumers?
  • How do we optimise the delivery of Strategic Infrastructure Projects alongside connecting our customers and undertaking network maintenance?
  • How can we deliver these projects differently to reduce the amount of time we need to take the network out of service, whilst keeping safety a priority?

About The Role

SLS Recruitment are working with a leading IT & Digital Training provider and they have a new opportunity for a Data Analyst Trainer to work across their skills bootcamp and apprenticeship provision. This is a fully remote role and will offer a salary of up to £45,000. This opportunity would suit someone who has experience of delivering training in the technology below.


To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following:

  • MUST HAVE DELIVERED TRAINING PREVIOUSLY
  • MUST HAVE A TEACHING OR ASSESSING QUALIFICATION
  • Knowledge of Excel, Access, R, SQL, Power BI and Azure fundamentals.
  • Experience of delivering training in Data Analysis a minimum of 1 year.
  • A relevant qualification in Data Analysis, ideally at degree level.


As a Data Analyst Trainer you will work with Curriculum, IQA and Service Delivery Teams. You will adapt different ways of working and be able to establish individual learning needs and introduce new ways of working.
