ROLE OVERVIEW

You will possess excellent communication and facilitation skills to harness and build positive relationships, whilst being able to put forwards alternative points of view and respectfully challenge.

You will primarily work alongside and in support of our senior consultants, delivering estates advisory services to customers right across our portfolio, but will also lead on specific elements of work/your own projects as your experience develops, as well as helping to nurture your graduate and junior colleagues.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

STRATEGIC ESTATES ADVICE

  • To work as part of a team to provide advice to our customers and partners as required (e.g., options appraisals, feasibility studies, estates strategies, PIDs, Business Case authoring, workshop facilitation, space utilisation, other research), either solely, as part of the wider team or with external advisors as needed.
  • Liaise with external clients and stakeholders to create new strategic estates opportunities for Community Ventures in line with the business plan, working with colleagues, partners and shareholders.
  • Appoint contractors and advisors to support delivery.
  • Effectively manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • To professionally represent Community Ventures at external meetings and events.

CLIENT/CUSTOMER LIAISON

  • A significant proportion of this role is client facing - acting as the consultant/ professional on our strategic advice commissions- presenting our offer to the client and ensuring the timelines and quality of our delivery.
  • Promoting and presenting a professional personal and company brand in all dealings.
  • Developing and nurturing successful and rewarding relationships with colleagues and the supply chain.
  • Listening and understanding the client’s needs and developing new client relationships.

GENERAL

  • Support the production of board reports and performance reports against the business plan KPI’s.

This role is pivotal in advising clients across various industries on their most pressing strategic challenges, driving transformative change, and delivering measurable business impact. The ideal candidate will possess a strong consulting background, exceptional problem-solving capabilities, and a deep understanding of strategic frameworks and industry trends. You will lead project teams, manage client relationships, and contribute to the development of new business opportunities. Responsibilities include:
  • Leading end-to-end consulting engagements, from scoping and diagnosis to strategy formulation and implementation support.
  • Conducting in-depth market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and financial modelling to inform strategic recommendations.
  • Developing compelling business cases and strategic roadmaps for clients.
  • Facilitating workshops and stakeholder interviews to gather insights and build consensus.
  • Presenting findings and recommendations to senior client executives.
  • Mentoring and developing junior consultants within the project team.
  • Contributing to the firm's intellectual capital and practice development.
  • Identifying and developing new client opportunities and building trusted advisor relationships.
  • Managing project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, impactful solutions that meet client objectives.
The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree from a top-tier university, ideally with an MBA. A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or a similar advisory role is required. Demonstrable experience in strategic planning, market entry, operational improvement, or digital transformation is essential. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and qualitative skills are paramount, alongside strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities. This is an office-based role with significant client travel, serving clients primarily around the **Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, UK** area and beyond.
