About the role:
We are looking for people who are currently studying at university to take the skills and knowledge that you have and work in a setting where you use them supporting children in a secondary school environment. The role entails you providing vital support to both teachers and pupils by covering lessons when normal staff are not available to work. You will be required to work closely with pupils, including positive relationships to help them to get the most out of their time in education, while at the same time utilising your knowledge that you have.
You will have the opportunity to get a feel for working in schools and gain valuable experience for a potential future in a role working with children in an educational setting.
Ideally, we would like you to have experience working with young people however full training will be given to those that we feel suitable for the role.
About the school:
We can offer you paid work in secondary schools across the Wolverhampton area supporting pupils. This role can either be flexible to work around your studies.
About you:
- Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check*
- Have recent experience working with children or young people
- Have a warm and friendly nature to be able to build positive relationships with pupils
- Have a creative arts background that you can incorporate into schools
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
