This includes maintaining compliance with GE Grid and their clients policies and procedures, in addition to UK and international regulation.
**Job Description**
**Location:** Remote within the UK or France, able to travel significantly to sites across Europe (approx. 90% travel)
**Summary:**
+ Ensure all site commissioning and installation activities are carried out to the highest standards of Health, Safety and Quality and in a manner that safeguards the environment.
+ Ensure that all site commissioning activities are undertaken in full compliance with GE Grid and client policies and procedures, in addition to the UK and international legislation.
+ Test, commission and service installed primary and secondary equipment during construction and in-service substation operations.
+ Effectively execute projects in line with client and GE expectations, programmes and budgets.
+ Ensure accurate on-site test records, reports and quality documentation are created, maintained and circulated in accordance with GE internal governance and GE quality plans.
+ Effectively work alongside other assigned staff as part of a team to successfully deliver projects.
+ Travel throughout UK and globally as and when required. Estimated 90% travel requirements.
+ Able to work on offshore windfarms.
+ Full UK / EU driving license required. A company car will be provided.
**Re** **sponsibilities & Accountabilities**
+ Effective and efficient testing and commissioning of substation equipment, ensuring that agreed work is carried out in accordance with the pre-set time scales and budgets.
+ Execution of day-to-day commissioning activities to successfully achieve on time delivery of assigned projects.
+ Responsible for the preparation, creation and issue of site documentation including but not limited to RAMS (Risk Assessment Method Statement), NCR's (Non-conformance Report), TQ's (Technical Queries) in accordance with approved processes and procedures.
+ Communicating site non-compliances and or deviations to the Site Manager & Project Engineer.
+ Reports to the Site Manager / Project Manager and Commissioning Manager.
+ Enacting the role of LV Authorised Person in accordance with requirements of the GE LV Safe System of Work (LVSSOW) procedures.
+ Comply with the GE code of ethics.
