This role will manage 1-2 direct reports, lead and coordinate the end-to-end supply chain operations across a defined region, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and reliable distribution. The role encompasses procurement, inventory management, transport coordination, supplier management, and continuous improvement of supply chain processes to support business goals and customer satisfaction.

The Role:
- Strategically develop and implement robust supply plans aligned with customer demand, seasonal trends, and sales forecasts.
- Manage regional inventory levels across depots to ensure product availability in line with company requirements and current best practice
- Ensure national procurement strategies are implemented on a regional basis
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Negotiating favourable terms, managing supply contracts, and ensuring timely deliveries
- Monitor supplier performance and negotiate service level agreements where necessary.
- Work closely with transport teams and third-party hauliers to manage delivery schedules, resolve logistics issues, and optimise routing and vehicle utilisation.
- Lead regional supply chain staff in ensuring accurate and timely confirmations and stock bookings.
- Coordinate closely with depot managers and logistics coordinators to ensure supply strategy can be enacted.
- Work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and finance teams to align supply activities with business needs.
The Person/Requirements:
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations management
- Strong analytical and planning skills with the ability to forecast and manage inventory effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in supply chain software and Microsoft Excel.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
- Knowledge of transport regulations desirable not essential

This role is part of the Procurement and Supply Chain cross functional project team, working alongside other project roles accountable for managing and reporting all supplier and subcontractor delivery performance (cost, quality and delivery).
A key aspect of this position will be to ensure that material cost is managed to the budget baseline and supplier/subcontractor compliance is managed to ensure delivery of contractual deliverables and identifying and mitigating all risks that may affect this.
This role will give you the chance to play a key part in ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects. You'll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.
This role will initially be employed as a 6 month fixed term contract.
You responsibilities will include:
- Manage the relationship with all key suppliers across the project.
- Ensure clear alignment between Marshall and all Suppliers on all key contractual deliverables and documentation as Terms and Conditions, Statement of Work and Schedule of requirements.
- Facilitate regular project reviews with all appropriate suppliers invited all necessary functional leaders as required.
- Manage any non-compliances of suppliers to the contract seeking specialist support from the Bid Procurement Team or Category Team as required.
- Tracking and regularly review supply and supplier risks against the programme.
- Provide monthly subcontractor performance status reports to Head of Subcontract management project managers.
- Ensuring all suppliers execute their responsibilities under the contract.
- Validate and approve supplier payments in accordance with the contract.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with all key project, business and functional stakeholders.
- Provide weekly 4-Box reports detailing Successes Opportunities Failures and Threats (SOFT) to project managers and Head of Subcontract Management
