Job Description

Supply Chain Analyst – Bury – Food Manufacturing/FMCG

£34,000 Salary – Site based

Some supply chain roles make you feel like a human version of Excel. Input data, spit out a report, repeat.

This isn’t that.

This role is about spotting problems before they blow up, keeping shelves full without filling skips, and being the one customers actually trust when the numbers don’t stack up.

The job in plain English:

  • Keep stock levels where they should be. Too much = waste, too little = angry customers.
  • Take sales and waste data and turn it into something useful, not just noise.
  • Build forecasts that aren’t copy/paste guesses.
  • Create reports people actually want to read.
  • Be the first call for customer supply chain teams.
  • Work with commercial, logistics, planning, finance — basically, whoever it takes to keep things moving.

What you’ll need to be good at:

  • Supply chain, forecasting, or demand planning in FMCG or retail.
  • Excel skills above “knows how to use VLOOKUP”. Power BI is a bonus.
  • Seeing patterns in messy data and explaining them without boring people.
  • Holding your ground in customer conversations without picking fights.
  • Spotting details that save a lot of money and embarrassment later.

Why bother applying?

  • You won’t just “support” — you’ll make decisions that matter.
  • The work’s varied: one day it’s deep in the numbers, next it’s talking with customers.
  • You’ll grow your career in a fast-paced food business where people actually notice what you do.
  • And when the shelves are full and the waste is low, you’ll know it’s because of you.

If this strikes a chord with you and your CV is ready, then click apply now. If your CV isn’t ready and you want to learn more then ring me (Olly) on .
