About the Role: Supply Chain Quality Manager – Aerospace Sector


We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supply Chain Quality Manager to join a prominent organisation in the aerospace industry. This position offers a dynamic environment and the opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality components critical to civil aircraft programmes.


Position Summary


Reporting to the Head of Programme and working alongside the Lead Supply Chain and Quality Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Landing Gear Structures suppliers. These suppliers are vital to the delivery of multiple civil aviation projects. The role requires a strong collaborative approach, working across cross-functional teams and maintaining close engagement with procurement operations.

Your contribution will be integral in driving performance, ensuring timely and quality-driven supply, and supporting the broader company objectives for dependable aircraft delivery.


Key Areas of Focus

The Procurement Operations (PO) team is structured around three core pillars:

  • Supply Management : Managing supplier performance with a focus on quality, delivery timelines, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Supplier Control : Ensuring continuous compliance and airworthiness of delivered parts and components.
  • Supplier Development : Identifying potential risks, addressing challenges proactively, and strengthening supplier capabilities to meet future demands.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely and quality delivery of parts to Final Assembly Lines (FALs) and manufacturing plants.
  • Partner with suppliers to facilitate ongoing development and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, programme management, customer support, and procurement to ensure end-to-end alignment.
  • Navigate a fast-paced, evolving work environment with confidence and adaptability.
  • Engage with external stakeholders and gain exposure to a variety of manufacturing processes and technologies.

Your Role:


You will be based on our client’s site (Belfast) 3 days onsite, with some travel); a major player in the Aerospace Industry, and will be responsible for:


  • Evaluating suppliers based on client and regulatory requirements in a selection context.
  • Defining the qualification plan for selected industrial partners.
  • Establishing and implementing project performance indicators.
  • Assisting industrial partners in developing their skills regarding client requirements and methodologies.
  • Participating in project progress meetings (internal and external).
  • Preparing and attending project milestone reviews.
  • Verifying and approving technical documentation issued and/or received during the phase.
  • Managing internal and external project risks.
  • Continuously assessing the maturity and compliance of partners through documentation review, audits, and assessments.


What We Are Looking For:


  • A degree from an engineering school or a university master’s program.
  • Experience in the Aerospace industry.
  • Experience in industrial diagnostics and/or audits.
  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end supply chain logistics, procurement, warehousing, and distribution
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the company

Desirable:

  • Experience driving an organisation through ISO 9001 accreditation.

I am looking for 5 x Quality Controllers to join my clients team based in Sandy, Bedfordshire. This role is a temporary position but may lead to a full time role for the right person.

Ideally I'm looking for someone who has previous experience in a Quality Control position and has the ability to work as part of a team. You will be responsible for the quality checks of all flowers in a chilled environment. We have shifts Sunday to Wednesday 06.30-18.30 and Wednesday to Saturday 18.30-06.30. Full training will be given. Immediate starts are available.
