You will be a key member of the Supply Chain team. Working within the defined processes and procedures, you will satisfy customer requirements while protecting the commercial and financial interests of the company. This role will be integral to the delivery of a sustainable supply chain to support the business. You will provide supply chain knowledge and guidance to the organisation . This role develops strategic initiatives through optimisation of spend, collaboration with 3rd parties and developing ways of working through continuous improvement exercises and operation delivery such as demand forecasting, PO management, materials sourcing, scheduling and inventory management. Responsibilities: Providing senior supply chain support to the programmes through; Support in identification of suitable suppliers for 3rd party programme items and services Support in the shaping and strategy of negotiation and tendering practises to supply chain teams within the operating unit. Ensure that the eco-system is healthy and supports programme delivery within your OU. Accountable for meeting programme schedule and budget commitments through supplier management including; Identification of suitable suppliers for 3rd party items and services. Lead competitive exercises to maintain on-time delivery to programme at best value. Negotiation and implementation of agreements with appropriate customer flow downs. Proactively maintain positive and mutually beneficial supplier relationships. Manage supplier price and availability, including alternative sources, in line with programme needs. Monitor and manage obsolescence and other supply issues, providing status updates and reports as requested Highlight and/or escalate, in a timely fashion, any supplier delinquency that affects the programme delivery schedule. Ensuring that supplier performance measurement activities are maintained through good practise, including; Aligning suppliers to the Supplier Management Processes. Working with Mission Assurance and others; monitor supplier performance factors, such as OTIF, quality, risk & opportunity, management and values. We are looking for: Qualified in a relevant subject preferably to degree level Demonstrable experience of proposal work and review Proven track record of building strong relationships Evidenced success in negotiating and managing subcontracts Relevant experience of working within a supply chain function Experience and understanding of how supply chain operates within organisations and how to maximise efficiency Proven experience and understanding of contract/subcontract law and management

**Position responsibilities include:**
+ Support the establish of the newly formed Tooling and Ground Support Equipment Inventory Support Centre (ISC).
+ Support the development of robust working processes to support the attainment of Military Aviation Authority accreditations.
+ Receive materiel into the ISC using a combination of Boeing and end user Log IS and produce any necessary paperwork.
+ Raise Purchase Requests for the calibration or replacement of items through either Boeing or MOD contracts as appropriate.
+ Receive and issue materiel from either the Boeing or MOD Supply Chain and bring it on charge using appropriate Log IS.
+ Identify and resolve supply chain management issues and discrepancies.
+ Progression of end user enquiries to support maintenance planning and decision making.

Our client has an opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain specialist to join them on a contract basis. This is a unique opportunity to join an established Aircraft OEM providing class leading MRO support.
As an Internal Supply Chain Specialist, you'll be working directly with a major airline based at LHR managing aircraft component repair cycles. You'll be working with both the client airline and with representatives of component suppliers & repairers ensuring the seamless delivery of aircraft parts and services. This role is fully onsite.
Role: Internal Supply Chain Specialist (Aviation)
Location: London Heathrow Airport
Shift Pattern: Mon-Fri
IR35 Status: Inside
Hourly Rate: tbc
Contract Position 12 Months (extension/perm possible)
To be successful it is a requirement that you have UK rights to work at the time of application.
Responsibilities will include
* Managing customer requirements and coordinating orders.
* Negotiating and procuring parts, interfacing with other departments to ensure timely delivery.
* Monitoring operational performance data against contractual targets.
* Exceeding customer expectations and company standards.
* Creating and updating Customer Procedure Sheets.
* Addressing customer queries, escalating as necessary, and providing regular feedback.
* Utilising quality systems to identify and address process failures.
Experience required
- Experience of working within an airline supply chain or from the aircraft component industry, PBH knowledge desirable.
- Knowledge of working with MS Excel to a high standard, VLOOKUPS and pivot tables is mandatory
- Demonstrate collaboration and are effective team players.
- Possess attention to detail, ensuring accurate information delivery.
- Are self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Enjoy problem-solving, often requiring team input.
- Have proven customer-facing experience, showcasing negotiation skills.
- Exhibit confident communication abilities.
