Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a closely related field, coupled with extensive postdoctoral or industrial research experience. You will have a proven track record in experimental design, materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, TEM, XRD, spectroscopy), synthesis methods, and data interpretation. Strong analytical skills, a creative approach to problem-solving, and excellent scientific communication abilities are paramount.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and conduct advanced research experiments in materials science.
- Develop and characterize novel materials with desired properties for specific applications.
- Utilize a range of advanced analytical and characterization techniques (e.g., electron microscopy, spectroscopy, thermal analysis).
- Interpret complex experimental data and draw scientifically sound conclusions.
- Lead research projects from conception through to completion, including proposal writing and grant management.
