Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with significant post-registration theatre experience
  • Multi-skilled capability in either :
  • Scrub and Anaesthetics, OR
  • Anaesthetics and Recovery
  • Proven track record in high-pressure, fast-turnaround environments
  • Self-sufficient professional who thrives with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to excellence and getting things right first time


Highly Desirable:

  • Experience with international/private patients
  • Adaptability and willingness to expand skill set
  • Professional demeanour suitable for luxury healthcare setting


The Role

You'll be working across a diverse range of procedures including:

  • Orthopaedic: Arthroscopies, ACL reconstructions, joint procedures
  • Cosmetic Surgery: Aesthetic procedures, day case operations
  • Functional Medicine: PRP treatments and advanced therapies

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our client's busy Inpatient Surgical Ward at their acute hospital site based in the historic 'five boroughs' community of Derby, Derbyshire , England's most central city.

This is a full-time post, but we are open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity. Equally there are opportunities for candidates seeking to work permanent night duty .
Newly-qualified or soon-to-qualify Nurses with an interest in a Surgical Ward setting are also welcome to apply.

Their Derby Hospital works with some of the regions expert Consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare specialists and comprises 38 beds, three operating theatres, a recently refurbished outpatient department, a minor ops suite, a dedicated oncology unit, and a full range of diagnostics, including on site CT and MRI.

With a mix of private and NHS patients and a wide range of clinical procedures and specialities this makes this centre of excellence an exciting, dynamic and creative place to work.

Person requirements :
Registered Nurse with full NMC registration.
