We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join our client's busy Inpatient Surgical Ward at their acute hospital site based in the historic 'five boroughs' community of Derby, Derbyshire , England's most central city.
This is a full-time post, but we are open to hearing from candidates seeking to negotiate a part-time hours opportunity. Equally there are opportunities for candidates seeking to work permanent night duty .
Newly-qualified or soon-to-qualify Nurses with an interest in a Surgical Ward setting are also welcome to apply.
This organisation is Britain’s largest not-for-profit healthcare organisation and is a leading provider of independent healthcare in the UK.
Their Derby Hospital works with some of the regions expert Consultants and multidisciplinary healthcare specialists and comprises 38 beds, three operating theatres, a recently refurbished outpatient department, a minor ops suite, a dedicated oncology unit, and a full range of diagnostics, including on site CT and MRI.
With a mix of private and NHS patients and a wide range of clinical procedures and specialities this makes this centre of excellence an exciting, dynamic and creative place to work.

Person requirements :
Registered Nurse with full NMC registration.
Minimum of six months' post-registration experience in an Acute Inpatient ward setting, including graduate Nurses with particular interest in developing further into a Surgical ward setting.

**Job Description**
**Essential Responsibilities**
+ Site based service activity comprising of preventative and corrective maintenance activities on medical devices as per manufacturers guidelines;
+ Maintain and build customer relationships taking ownership of customer escalations at customer sites and maintaining necessary communication within desired timeframes;
+ Assist wider team where needed to achieve desired outcomes;
+ Comply with GE leadership behaviours;
+ Take ownership within workshop and comply with local health and safety regulations;
+ Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible;
+ Aware of and comply with the GE Healthcare Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations;
+ Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines. Identify and report any and all customer quality or compliance concerns immediately to the Quality Organization.
**Qualifications and Requirements**
+ A degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electronics Engineering;
+ Relevant experience working as a Biomedical Engineer or Field Service Engineer or in similar engineering sector in UK;
+ Good IT Skills;
+ Familiarity with national regulatory standards;
+ Good customer relationship skills;
+ Excellent communication skills;
+ Your current home location is London or London area.
