A company I am working closely with is hiring for an ESG Sustainability Consultant to support the development and delivery of sustainability and compliance initiatives within the food and hospitality sector. The role requires strong skills in compliance, data analysis, and reporting, along with experience engaging stakeholders to improve ESG performance. The ideal candidate will bring 2–3 years of sector experience and a proven ability to translate data into actionable insights.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement ESG and sustainability initiatives across operations.
  • Collect, analyse, and validate data to monitor ESG performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with ESG-related regulations, reporting standards, and industry requirements.
  • Produce clear, accurate, and engaging sustainability reports for diverse audiences.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and risk mitigation that align with ESG priorities.
  • Keep up to date with ESG trends, regulatory developments, and industry benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and partners to embed sustainable practices.


Skills & Experience:

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the food and/or hospitality sector.
  • Strong knowledge of ESG frameworks, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
  • Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and present complex information.
  • Experience in preparing ESG or sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong project management, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to collaborative projects.
  • Genuine passion for sustainability and positive impact.


Desirable:

  • Familiarity with sustainability certifications relevant to food and hospitality (e.g., B Corp, ISO 14001, GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Experience engaging with suppliers and external stakeholders on sustainability initiatives.
