This role drives architecture excellence across analytics domains including Consumer Planning and Insights, Digital Pulse of Consumer, Marketing Effectiveness and Media Optimisation, Experiential, Consumer Engagement, Commerce Experience, Digital Monitoring and Performance. They will also lead the design and implementation of AI and GenAI solution architectures across all Martech domains, ensuring consistency, compliance, and forward-looking innovation. Top Accountabilities **Technology Roadmaps, Architecture & Design** + Define and maintain domain-specific architecture roadmaps across analytics and AI, aligned with business priorities and enterprise standards. + Lead the definition and documentation of architecture supporting advanced analytics, real-time dashboards, marketing KPIs, and predictive models. + Translate business and marketing requirements into AI/analytics architecture patterns, technical solutions, and implementation blueprints. + Develop architecture patterns and reference implementations for responsible, compliant and scalable AI and GenAI use cases across Martech. <>· **System Integration & Data Flows** + Architect data pipelines and models across Martech domains and enterprise systems to enable real-time insights, experimentation and performance tracking. + Collaborate with data engineering teams to deliver a connected view of the consumer and marketing activity across platforms. **Tool Evaluation & Stack Rationalization** + Evaluate and recommend analytics platforms (BI, experimentation, customer intelligence) and AI solutions with fit-for-purpose capabilities. + Maintain strategic relationships with key analytics/AI vendors, contributing to their product roadmaps. + Identify opportunities to consolidate or sunset legacy tools and reduce stack complexity. **Governance, Privacy & Compliance** + Implement AI ethics, data privacy, and responsible use frameworks across AI/analytics solutions. + Partner with Legal, Security and Compliance to ensure adherence to data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). **Cross-Functional Collaboration** + Partner with Product, Data Science, Media, Insights, and Martech Platform teams to align architecture with business outcomes. + Work closely with Enterprise Architects to ensure analytics/AI solutions fit into the broader technology strategy **Performance Optimization & Scalability** + Design for data scale, system performance and latency minimisation across analytical workflows. + Monitor system health and implement continuous optimisation across AI and analytics pipelines. **Documentation & Knowledge Sharing** + Produce and maintain architectural documentation, data flows, AI models architecture, and compliance controls. + Share best practices across teams and coach domain architects in AI and analytics technologies. Qualifications and Experience Required + 10+ years of experience in IT, data, or software engineering, including 5+ years in analytics and AI architecture roles. + Strong background in consumer and marketing analytics technologies, data platforms, and experience with experimentation platforms. + Hands-on experience with AI/ML, including GenAI architecture, LLMs, prompt engineering frameworks, and MLOps practices. + Proven leadership in designing and scaling data-driven solutions across global, matrixed organisations. + Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. 12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture with at least 5 years in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE & F&O.

Dual-write, Dataverse, and Microsoft Copilot
Proven experience in large-scale ERP/CRM transformations and data platform modernization.

Govern architecture decisions across POD-based delivery teams and ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
Platform Modernization & Integration
Lead the re-platforming of B2B and B2C ERP and CRM systems from AX 2009 to Dynamics 365.
Architect seamless integrations with:
Shopify, Espresa, Paymentech, SendGrid
Databricks Lakehouse (bronze-silver-gold layers)
Microsoft Dataverse and Customer Insights
Design and oversee implementation of Dual-write between D365 CE and F&O for real-time data synchronization.
Data & AI Enablement:
Architect data flows between D365 and Databricks for Pet Registry and Microchip Registry.
Enable AI-powered capabilities using Microsoft Copilot for customer interaction summaries and forecasting.
Support data exposure and insights delivery through Dataverse and Power BI.
Enterprise Structure & Security
Design enterprise structures to support 10 legal entities (3 holding, 7 transactional) across B2B and B2C operations.
Ensure secure, scalable, and compliant architecture across all business units and geographies.
Collaboration & Leadership
Collaborate with delivery managers, change leads, and technical architects to ensure cohesive execution.

Architectural Strategic Leadership

• Define, implement, and oversee the enterprise-wide architectural vision and strategy to align technology initiatives with business objectives.
• Develop, implement and maintain the NHSBSA Enterprise Architecture Strategy.
• Work with the Director of Cyber and Technology to develop, implement and maintain the NHSBSA Technology Strategy, ensuring that robust and effective governance is in place which ensures architectures and solutions are aligned to the strategy.
• Understand and translate organisational strategy into clear architecture strategies and roadmaps with a focus on simplification and reuse.
• Contribute to policy making and promote and support policy decisions both internal and external.

• Engaging and building relationships with a range of stakeholders up to Director level to support delivery of business outcomes.
• Extensive experience with industry-standard frameworks such as TOGAF
• Proven ability to define and implement architecture governance, policies, and best practices.
• Experience in aligning enterprise architecture with business and technology strategy.
• Strong background in digital transformation initiatives and technology modernisation.
• Expertise in enterprise integration, APIs, microservices, and modern application architecture.
• Experience with risk management, regulatory compliance, and security frameworks.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, infrastructure, and IT operations.

Desirable

• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and compliance.
• Experience in evaluating and selecting enterprise technology solutions and vendors.

Qualifications

Essential

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline and/or evidence of undertaking rigorous research in a relevant field and/or in-depth experience.
• Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and methodologies
• Strong knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and risk management.

Desirable

• TOGAF certification or equivalent, or willing to work towards this certification
• Relevant foundation level qualification in an DDaT department framework (eg ITIL, COBIT, MoR and ISMS)
• Programme and Project Management (PRINCE, MSP, P3O or similar)
• Agile Delivery Qualifications (SCRUM)
• Strong understanding of cloud computing, cybersecurity, AI, data architecture, and modern development practices (Agile, DevOps).
